We arrived late and had dinner in the pub/restaurant. The quality was way in excess of our expectations. I had a Beetroot cured smoked gravadlax with horseradish cream, cress & toasted sourdough followed by Beer battered haddock & hand cut chips with peas & tartare. The starter was one of the best I have ever had and the main course was the perfect meal for a first day in Scotland. Compliments to the chef!! Our room was spacious with every comfort. A huge comfortable bed with a nice view out the front of the building, and nice bathroom with all necessary accessories.

Located just 5 miles from Oban, right on the lake shores and on Loch Etive, Lochnell Arms Hotel features a restaurant overlooking the famous Falls of Lora. The room was awesome - we had a suite for three people. It was big, really quiet, with great views. The staff was very helpful and the views and landscape were great. The breakfast was really satisfying too!!

The main hotel building is now under new ownership (previous owner holding onto Beach House rooms) Changes required to property description as follows: On the banks of Loch Lomond, this Traditional... Breakfast was excellent as were the staff. I had a problem with my TV and wifi. The manager came right down and sorted it out quickly. Great place to stay.

"The Anchor Inn was a traditional Drovers Inn dating back to 1888. Over recent years, it has undergone tasteful modernisation and now boasts a nautical-themed bar and restaurant area with hearty food... The staff was absolutely incredible, especially the bartender. Breakfast was delicious, the pub has good beers on tap, and the room was comfortable. Parking for the family suite was great. Again, the wonderful staff made this place a hidden gem.

Our stay at this hotel was excellent. The breakfast menu offered a wide selection of options and was cooked to perfection with wonderful ingredients. The hotel has a list of their food suppliers on display and this food provenance is reflected in the wonderful freshly cooked dinners we enjoyed. The main courses were all large portions and very satisfying. The bar had an excellent selection of scottish gins all well worth trying. The room was very comfortable and well appointed and very clean with plenty of tea and coffee supplies. The hosts Irene and Scott are very friendly and made us very welcome.
