If you are looking for tranquility, security and privacy whilst staying in Taupo this spacious two-bedroom apartment is the perfect place. The apartment occupies the entire ground floor or our home. The bedrooms are large and the beds very comfortable. A well equipped kitchen allows you the option of cooking at home or abandoning that plan and dining out. A large bathroom has a shower, vanity and toilet as well as laundry facilities - great for Travellers who want to refresh their clothing. The property has a large lawn and garden, and an outdoor seating area for al fresco dining. There is also free visitor parking, not visible from the street.

We are a semi-retired couple who own a kiwifruit orchard in the Bay of Plenty, but we love to spend time in Taupo at our other home. It's the ideal layout for a holiday accommodation as guests have completely separate quarters with their own access. We enjoy meeting our visitors but at the same time respect people's privacy whilst they are staying in our apartment.

Taupo and its surrounds offers so much for visitors. The area is an outdoor playground, with many boating options including trout fishing, lake tours, paragliding, paddleboating, kayaking and more. Walking / cycling trails abound both in and around the Lake Taupo area, there is a motor sports track, horse racing and a national equestrian centre. Swimmers can take a cool dip in the lake or luxuriate in heated thermal pools. There is sky diving, gliding, bungy jumping and so much more available for the adventurous. Tourists can sail or kayak to the Maori Rock carvings, go jet boating on the Waikato River, visit the Huka Falls, and enjoy the varied water activities at Prawn Park or The Landing - an indoor/outdoor haven for children and adults, with a cafe and other facilities in the complex. There are several options available for keen golfers from the international Wairakei golf course and public nine-hole course to two 18-hole courses at Taupo and another at Kinloch. Geo thermal parks at Orakei Korako (the hidden valley) and Waiotapu are within driving distance, as is Rotorua with its many geo-thermal attractions. Mt Ruapehu offers tramping in the summer and skiing during winter right next to the Tongariro Crossing - one of New Zealand's most famous hikes. Both dining and shopping are excellent in both variety and quality in Taupo.
