This Icelandic horse farm provides accommodation in Haukadalur Valley, 90 minutes’ drive from Reykjavik. Overlooking Geysir, it offers a guest lounge, garden and horse riding tours. super location, lovely cottage. beds were comfortable, and the kids loved their upstairs loft:) facilities were clean, kitchenette was outfitted with coffee and tea.

Hostelis The Barn atrodas netālu no Vikas ciemata, starp ledāju Mýrdalsjölill un Islandes dienvidu krastu. We had a great time thanks to the owner and his wife, who are very nice and helpful. Breakfast was included and we were able to meet the people who gathered in the kitchen/dining room and met some very nice people who we still keep in touch with

Located within the famous Golden Circle sightseeing trail, Héradsskólinn Historic Guesthouse overlooks Lake Laugarvatn, Hekla Volcano and the Eyjafjallajökull Glacier. There is a snowy mountain view on one side, and a gorgeous lake on the other side of the hotel. There is a thermal spa a short walk from it, and the facility is very practical, warm and clean.

Overlooking Höfn harbour and with views towards the Vatnajökull Glacier, this hostel features a guest kitchen and laundry facilities. I was a bit skeptical to go in a hostel but I must say this could be classified as a 5 star hostel. Kitchen was very big with lots of equipment, the living and eating area was also super big and modern, with very nice furniture. Staff was also very nice and polite.
