Great hostel! Very clean and has a very comfortable and spacious common area (with an air hockey table), and a nice garden. Friendly and helpful staff. The dorm beds have curtains for privacy. Close to city center. Really good breakfast, and you can also get homemade ramen for lunch or dinner (really good ramen, and it could be useful if you don't wanna go out to the streets of San Jose after dark). There were lots of nice backpackers at the hostel. I really enjoyed my stay there : )

As my 1st accommodation in Costa Rica they set the standard so high it went unmatched for the 3 weeks I stayed in the country. Although not modern, it features sizable dorms, comfortable beds, has no lockers but clothes hangers are available and valuables may be stored in a specialised room. Pretty good breakfast, decent shared kitchen with an impressive spice rack, stable wi-fi. All that, however, is just facilities. What truly makes the property stand apart are the staff and especially its manager, with his insights into local culture, support, and warmth. The fact that the building also houses a local NGO makes the place even more dynamic and provides opportunities for some interesting conversations.

I really liked this place. It had a handful of nooks and crannies that you could chill in, as well as some comfy hammocks. If you prefer to socialize, there’s some common spaces as well. In general, the place was aesthetically pleasing, as well as functional. I felt safe being here as a solo female traveler. I also liked that the reception was 24/7, especially because I had to check out at 5am.

The staff is amazing and super helpful. Clean rooms and bathroom. Very quiet place compared to the other hostels iv been. A perfect place to stay a night at san Jose. The place is decorated very nicely and makes the feeling of home. Kitchen equipped with everything you need.

This hostal is wonderfull, it should be called not a hostal, but a hotel boutique. It has everything clean, comfortable, yoga area (so spacious ). The environment is fantastic. Really you feel like you were in your home.
