Nice heritage House with spacious rooms, very clean, and there is a washing machine that you can use for free. We even got upgraded to a better room for free. Location is perfect, right in the center, we could easily walk to the Blue Mansion, Armenia Street and the Jetty.

Located in George Town, 2.4 km from Northam Beach, Cocoa Mews Cafe and Homestay provides accommodation with a shared lounge, free WiFi and a shared kitchen. We arrived extremely late (3.30am!) but Howie and Amit were really accommodating; Amit stayed up to let us in, and kindly insisted that we skip the check-in process until the morning, because we must be exhausted and want to go straight to sleep due to the late hour (he was right!). Howie is very warm and very helpful, and has plenty of suggestions for activities and things to do. He'll tell you where to go, what do eat, where to rent a scooter, what's the best value for money when it comes to things to do, and so on. Many free amenities are provided for guests' comfort, like house slippers, earplugs, face masks, toiletries, after-sun care, ointments and balms for insect bites, etc. It's a heritage building that's has been sympathetically renovated so as not to lose its charm. Its location is incredible as well; smack in the centre of Georgetown, with everything within walking distance. Surrounded by fantastic food and historical buildings, and lots of sights and despite the property being on the main road, there was little to no traffic after 10pm so sleeping was very easy. Shared facilities on the property (bathrooms, kitchen) are clean and well-kept. The bed was fantastic (mattress was nice and hard, and did not squeak), and the air-con in the room was cool and silent. Breakfast provided is varied and delicious (roti canai and dhal one day, Indian vegetarian spaghetti another day, with Malaysian kuihs to complement everything), and there are snacks always available. The house cats!

My Guesthouse 109 - SELF CHECK IN is located in the bustling George Town. The no-frills accommodation offers guests access to a shared lounge to socialize or simply relax. The cat attendants ensured I had a pleasant stay. They help me check my room, sleep with me in case I have nightmares and keep me company when it's too hot to go outside. The room is great, toilet is clean, location is good. But nothing beats having cats around you 24/7.

Everything about this charming little guesthouse and especially Chea the owner is very sweet and helpful. Walking distance to everywhere.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay here. Housed in a beautifully restored heritage building, this guesthouse seamlessly blends historic charm with modern comfort. The rooms were impeccably clean and exuded comfort, with plush beds ensuring a restful night's sleep. The common areas were equally impressive, with stylish decor and well-appointed kitchen and bathrooms. Despite being open for only two weeks, the owner were incredibly helpful and informative, offering valuable tips for exploring the area. Located in the heart of George Town, the guesthouse is conveniently situated within walking distance of numerous restaurants, cafes, and attractions. Overall, my experience at Aayu Melayu was wonderful, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Penang.

The host and staff is responsible and very sincere in handling things, the manager very kind for help us although ge is very busy in handling a event at ground floor

Set within 1.9 km of Northam Beach and 600 metres of Wonderfood Museum, Stewart Hotel at 67 By EVR - Newly Renovated 2024 offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in George Town. I arrived out of Borneo and was provided a glorious house near love lane, Penang. It is glorious no question. Superb bed , shower , kitchenette. Next to bars , breakfast bars , cafes. It is inconceivable that every time I come to Penang I won't desire to stay there ! So it's 10/10 from me. Ill return without question.
