They even invited us to a matcha ceremony and showed us around a bit! If you happen to want to visit Hokuei, you need to check out this place. We will be back again, for sure :)

Located at the foot of Mount Daisen and a 3-minute walk from Daisen-ji Temple, guests at Shukubo Kansho-in Temple Sanrakuso can experience staying in a traditional Japanese temple. The stay, onsen and everything else was great. Breakfast and dinner are delicious, hosts are very friendly and nice. On my checkout day, it was snowing quite heavily which caught me by surprise. Was worried about how to get to the bus stop with my luggage since the snow above-ankle deep. They were nice and offered to drive me down to the station which I greatly appreciate.

Destiny Inn Sakaiminato is located in Honjōmachi, 20 km from Matsue. Private parking is available on site. Some units include views of the mountain or river. Good location for the kitaro street. Near the station. Very clean, the owner is interested in traveling.

Jock is a wonderful host, very giving with his time and tips. Made us takoyaki, which was yum!!! Parents found the chairs a bit hard (used to a sofa :) ), but it was fine. Location was fine, ten mins to at least 2 supermarkets and maybe 15 mins to main train station - easy to walk.
