The hostel is super lovely, the rooms have a lot of space and the kitchen is well equipped. The hostel is near from the train station (10 minutes to walk) and there are many supermarkets around. A big thank you to the awesome host mom who made the 4 days even more beautiful with her open friendly manner and her helpfulness.

Guest house Active Life -YADO- ligt in Ishinomaki, in de regio Miyagi, op 32 km van Entsuin Temple. We booked to stay one night while visiting friends in Miyagi and it was a lovely home-from-home. The common area was a nice cosy place to relax in and the room was warm and comfortable. We didn't have time during this trip for any of the other activities on offer (paddle boarding looks fun!) so hopefully we'll be back soon!

Great value for money if you want to stay in Kesennuma for a night. Location is ~30 minutes by foot from the train station or ~10 minutes by BRT (which runs to and from the station). Staff was very friendly and speaks english well enough. Facilities were clean.

Guesthouse 66 ligt in Kakuda, op 42 km van Zuihoden en 43 km van treinstation Sendai. Our room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The guesthouse was about a four minute walk from the train station, and an eleven minute walk to the supermarket. Hiro, the owner, was super nice and friendly ^^

Traveler's Wharf Shichigahama is een 60-jaar oude Japanse accommodatie met uitzicht op de zee. Het is geopend vanaf 2016. We absolutely loved our stay at Traveler’s Wharf Shichgahama. Taka is a wonderful host - attentive, accommodating and we really enjoyed getting to know him a little bit. He took excellent care of us, anticipating our needs and showing great hospitality. He picked us up from the train station, and advised us on activities in the area. I would highly recommend you stay here if you are looking for a quiet, low key place close to the beach.
