It was a lot of fun staying here - the owners were very welcoming, and the amount of energy that has been put into the decorations is fantastic. It was like being a kid again - even the blankets had glow in the dark dinosaurs on them! The location was a comfortable walk from the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum (about 5km) and there were plenty of other things to explore nearby.

Mikuni Tsumesyo is located on the main street running along the axis, so it is conveniently located to everything you need. The house is truly amazing,, the photos do not do enough justice; gardens interior and design are all impeccable. I really enjoyed staying here but I wish could luve out of the house for an entire month.

Kizu san was really nice. The facilities were great and the bed was so comfy. Delicious breakfast packed with healthy ingredients. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to the village.

The food, the decor, the town, the whole area was extremely pleasant and I also arrived during the spring festival which made the experience that much better. The host was extremely helpful and polite and made my time in the city great, they even offered to drive me and my friend to the train station, saving us time and back pain from all our luggage. Great hospitality in a lovely Guest House.

The house looks like it was finished last week. Western visitors should note that the interior is very minimalist. Only a low table and futon to roll out on the floor of the guest room. This is not a flaw, as it is designed to be in the traditional Minshuku style. Just something to be aware of. A few minutes walk from the beach. Sleepy little town. A nice break from the crowds of Kyoto.
