It felt at times more like a really good air BnB than a hostel as there weren't loads of travellers staying for much of the time I was there - but those who were there were mostly lovely and it was good for socialising. As other commenters have said, the house itself is actually an antique, a piece of local history, and very beautiful. The old pictures on the wall in the dormitory are of Monika's great grandparents who founded Jardín. Monika has a heart of gold and is a vibrant character within the fabric of this paradise town. She went out of her way to help me with whatever I needed. Her puppy and two cats are so cute too. Beds are basically double beds. Rooms get cleaned every day. Beautiful garden out the back too for chilling/eating breakfast etc.

Offering a shared lounge and city view, Hostel Metro Floresta Alojamiento is set in Medellín, 8.9 km from El Poblado Park and 10 km from Lleras Park. Ricardo is a fantastic host. Allowed me to check in early since my bed was available. Throughout my stay, I constantly noticed him taking care of the hostel, and the facilities were always clean; you can see he cares a lot about it. I stayed in the 5-bed dorm, which didn’t have a toilet inside the room. There is one shared toilet with a shower, and in case one is occupied, we can always use the one in the 6-bed dorm. The bed is slightly hard, but I spelt super good. The curtains in each bed allow for more privacy and to block the light. The hostel is full of little details that make your life easier, like a reading light for each bed and power adaptors. The location is super close to the metro to Comuna 13 and very chill.

Featuring mountain views, Hostel Boutique Nido de Loros offers accommodation with terrace, around 7.7 km from El Poblado Park. It’s a very comfortable and beautiful property in a great location. I loved the fact that I could wash my clothes, and the kitchen was super clean, new and very well equipped. The room and everything else exceeded my expectations for the price.
