Location is some 15-20min from center of Matera, but close to the entrance to the belvedere ovelooking the city from the other bank (a must). Overall, short yet enjoyable stay.

It is possible to visit the animal farm as well. This stay was truely memorable. From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave you feel like smiling!! The hosts have created a fantastic, and genuine farm stay with superb locally produced food and trimmings. The buildings have been faithfully restored including wonderful art works from Raffael (not 'THE' Raffael, but a fantastic artist nonetheless!). The grounds are vibrant and peaceful! The 3 course evening meal, and breakfast, prepared by the owner from the seasonal fruits of their labour were simply perfect, and the service by her son charming!!!

Pino, Anna, and Anna's mother, Maria, made us feel like a part of their family in every way. Everything we needed was quickly and cheerfully provided, and all our questions were patiently answered. Plus, the fresh, local dishes prepared by Maria we absolutely delicious. We came to Basilicata looking for an authentic Italian experience, and we definitely found it at Taverna Centomani. We made friends and memories there we will carry with us for the rest of our lives. Highly recommend.
