The newly renovated 4-star Hotel Baía Azul is ideally situated a 4-minute walk from Funchal’s beachfront. Wonderful and caring staff, my left at reception suicase was taken to my room when room became available, they have lockers in spa I had room with balcony _ walk outside thru to the pool., pool area is lovely, towels are comfy Inside pool is right temperature, just open doors for fresh air

Renovated in 2018, the 4-star Hotel Alto Lido is located in Funchal’s prime area – Lido, 2.5 km from the city centre. One of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. Exceptionally nice and helpful staff. Great location with free shuttles to the center. Spacious and clean room, great swimming pool. Breakfast with many choices. Les Suites at The Cliff Bay features a heated outdoor swimming pool and a garden in Funchal. We stayed at this hotel for part of our honeymoon and loved our experience. The property was beautiful, the views spectacular, staff helpful and kind, room spacious and clean, and food fresh and delicious. We loved being able to hear the waves against the cliffs and the birds chirping. It's also helpful to note that you can benefit from using the amenities at the sister property next door as well.

Set on a cliff in 10 acres of subtropical gardens overlooking the Atlantic, this 5-star resort features an oceanfront spa, 3 swimming pools and direct access to oceanic waters. I just wanted to say how simply amazing I think this hotel is. Simply the top of the line.As I sit here writing this I tear up. EVERYONE from the front desk, to the bell hop to the people who brought me my breakfast, the gentlemen in the restaurant and especially Elia Silva, who loved her job so much she sang while she was making my bed. And last but but far not least, I was so homesick I want to go back home so badly and the manager let me cancel my third night. I’m still amazed, simply amazed at this sublime hotel. and jeez wiz I didn’t even mention how beautiful and well appointed the Palace was. I just hope you know that there are people out there who so appreciates what you do for people. This is from the bottom of my heart

Set within extensive gardens of various subtropical trees and a banana plantation, Quinta da Casa Branca features a boutique hotel and an elegant manor house and offers a heated pool and rooms with... Everything - super comfortable room, absolutely amazing gardens (you must see to believe!), top service attitude and fantastic food (especially dinners, but breakfast is also super yummy!). The location was great for me - not too far, not too close to turistic center of Funchal. Again, territory and pools were top-notch, SPA was outstanding in actual procedures - it doens't looks fancy or grand per say, but the work by therapists was top-value and made all the goodness for me. Finally, the value of this place for me felt much more than what I've paid (you get all what you would get in Belmond or even better - but for a fraction of the price..)

Hotel Golden Residence nudi bazen na otvorenom, velnes centar i moderan smeštaj sa sopstvenim balkonima. Great location, close to the beach and city, good staff, extremely helpful with any nuisance, the apartment has a fridge and kitchen with basic equipment. Nice, tasty breakfast, everyone can choose from. Pools, fittness and sauna are bonus.
