Reception was very helpful. The tram to the railway station was at the front door. The room is a standard size hotel room.

The family-run Hotel zum Schwarzen Bären is located in a quiet side street in the centre of Linz, only a 3-minute walk away from the main square. It offers free Wi-Fi access. The staff was very friendly. For example, they helped me find information about the events, and they even packed me a "breakfast bag" when leaving very early in the morning upon checking out. All in all, I found the hotel very clean, their cost-free WiFi worked well, I enjoyed air-conditioning in my room, the hotel's location is perfect, and the breakfast was versatile enough (with quite nice and healthy options as well).

Directly set on the banks of the Danube River with a view of the Pöstlingberg Mountain, the ARCOTEL Nike Linz is only a 10-minute walk from the historic centre of Linz. We were very comfortable. The room was clean, quiet and well organised with easy access using the lift. The dining area with gorgeous views over the Danube was comfortable, efficient and staffed with very friendly helpful staff. The breakfast buffet was extensive and full of delicious choices and the meals, coffees and cake we consumed were equally tasty, nicely presented and served. Quiet corners to work were easily found. The hotel was perfectly located for the event we were attending in the Brucknerhaus next door and also an easy walk away from the centre of Linz for a pleasant wander in town.
