Loved the seclusion and the pool was massive, clean and staff very friendly. Not overpriced. Best Vietnamese salads we’ve had all trip, both the chicken and beef salads were fabulous. Short bike ride up behind the property to the local village was super interesting (bit touristy but still great).

The hotel is located in a small village about 20 kilometres from Mai Chau, which is why we booked it. We wanted to stay in a quiet and remote area and we really liked it. We cycled to Mai Chau one day; scenic landscape, simply fantastic. The bungalows are very nice, food was very good and eveyone super friendly. We had great fun with the three dogs, who are absolutely adorable.

Best beds during my stay in Vietnam!
Fantastic view on the fields! They provide help with activities and a taxi for example. Free bike rental. And they offer massages! For me perfect location and good price if i comper this to the other luxerious stays around. And still a nice place to have a good rest. Bc i felt sick last day they helped me with bringing breakfast and drinks in the room itself.

Location-wise, it’s located in a lovely valley surrounded by staircase paddy fields, but far away from the usual commercialised Mai Chau town, so perfect for those who want peace, like us.
We took an afternoon walk around the area and got a nice early morning bike ride to nearby area which was quite lovely.
The food was absolutely gorgeous! Locally sourced ingredients, seasoned to perfection, in my humble opinion.
The staff were super nice, solicitous and attentive to our needs

The breakfast was okay as it was included on the price of the stay. The view was pretty spectacular on the rare occasion we saw it (we only saw it 1 afternoon out of 3 days we stayed, it was foggy most days to the point you couldn't see anything).
We had a nice walking tour with Kay, he was knowledgeable and welcoming and also assisted us with organising a day tour/transport to Mai Chau.

We stayed in Ban Lac, it was great for accomodation, food, shoping and as a departure point for bike rides and trips. Very charming and quiet place, surrounded by rice fields and a bit further from the bigger road (still easy to get there). It was our favourite place in Vietnam.

It was really lovely.
It was really lovely. Calm without being too quiet, with lots of nice roads to walk and look out over the rice fields and gardens. Just enough food/beer vendors spread about to be good :)
Lots of dogs about, and the smell of burning plastic was a pitty.

This area is incredibly beautiful - rice paddies all around as well as much other vegetation and farming. Beautiful wild nature in the mountains. The people are very kind and the local cuisine is delicious. Visiting by scooter or motorcycle would be best as the sights are spread out and it would be a little difficult to visit. You could also do it by car but that would be less fun!

After checking out La Maison de Buoc, I returned to Hanoi and had a flight back to Australia. If I knew that the trip would be so beautiful and memorable, I would stay longer.
Mai Chau this season is very beautiful, even though there are no longer rice fields. People have harvested all the rice since mid-November. But it's okay, I visited Pu waterfall, Mai Hich stream, Thai ethnic villages, climbed Red Rock and Kiapaco Cave.
It can be said that my trip was too short, I wish I could stay longer.

I like solo traveling so the trip to Mai Chau was what I needed after a long time working. It was and is a quiet, peaceful place, not many things to do, but a lot of things to see. I'm glad I came here on a motorcycle so I can go around and see many thing. For example cloud hunting( or cloud sightseeing, waterfalls, rice field under the shade of mountains as the sun coming down. I hope booking.com adds video feature since I record most of my video
I've stayed here before and came back a second time. The room has a very beautiful view, mountains, forests and green rice fields
Large swimming pool, enthusiastic staff advising on services and tours to visit Mai Chau valley.
Clean and unique dishes such as fish with papaya leaves, grilled chicken, and pork in a bamboo tube
Experience living in a close and friendly living space with local people. Early in the morning you will hear the sound of roosters crowing that you never hear in the city.
Fantastic stay! Our room was spacious with a nice terrace. Cò, the host, was so nice and friendly, easy to talk to (spoke very good English) and very helpful. He gave us a map and some information on what to do in the area.
The homestay is a typical Thai house located in the center of one of the small villages near Mai Chau. Easy to borrow/rent bikes and cycle through the rice fields. Great a/c. Good shower with hot water. Thank you Cò!
Everything was amazing, hot showers, comfortable beds, clean rooms. Family dinner was delicious, local Vietnamese food. Vinh also knows a lot of good restaurants in town, both local and western food. She helps to book tours and busses at a great price. AC available at some rooms, but fans are always provided. This is my 4th time staying with Vinh, she's the most wonderful person I've ever met and she always works to be better.
We stayed in the family bungalow at Little Mai Chau Homestay. The room was very spacious and had an authentic vibe with a great view of the rice fields and the mountains that made the experience memorable. The hosts and staff were very kind and warm. Gathering with other people staying at the homestay during dinner time made it a even more special to experience a night there. The dinner was neat and delicious too.
The staff at Mai Chau Valley Hotel go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. Very helpful, kind, and friendly. The room was spacious with a beautiful view from the deck. Excellent breakfast and we ate a few dinners there as well (on site restaurant). Great service and food. Huge bed was really comfortable! The room was quiet at night and the hotel is in a good location at the south of town.
I would highly recommend to everyone to stay in Mai Chau Hillside Homestay. For me, the location is perfect (not in the right center of Ban Lac with a lot of people but still not far away), and the bungalow is nice, clean, and full of equipment with a rice field in front of it. The black chicken hotpot is delicious at a good price. The most important is the host is absolutely friendly and helpful.
This was one of my best stays so far in south east Asia. Tan is such a lovely host, always happy to help in every occasion and gives out a lot of good recommendations for trips around Mai Chau.
In addition the family dinners are super tasty and extremely sociable. Even though I only stayed there for four nights, they made it very hard to leave
Great place, lovely pool + beautiful rooms + good food + location with easy access but still right in a tranquil village where local people live, and not in the tourist “villages” where all the hotels are where you don’t want to be (they are fully composed of hotels, shops for souvenirs, and a few bar/restaurants, but not in a good way)
Very nice breakfast with good selection and very helpful staff.
Note you essentially need dinner in the hotel too.
We stayed in a little bungalow which was really nice and spacious.
The resort in itself is great - Mai Chau in itself was a little bit less than we expected.
Nice evening show with folklore dancing and singing.
I had a lovely stay at Meadow homestay. The family makes you feel really welcomed and they cooked some delicious meals. The views from the property were beautiful and I enjoyed my walks round Mai Chau. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in Mai Chau.
Perfect resort to stay in Mai Chau. Our room has balcony that faced the breathtaking view.
Professional and kind staff who simply responded with a smile to our every request.
Highly recommend!!!
Mai Chau valley retreat is the perfect place to stay if you are visiting this area. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic. It is a beautiful peaceful place.
