Our room was quieter than expected for being right next to the airport. It was very clean. Breakfast and breakfast room were very nice. Beds were very comfy. Easy access to the airport was great as 2 in our party had flights out the next morning.

Free breakfast was the best I've had in my travels
Spokane has good and bad.
Food scene and walking the downtown are is good.
Parking is expensive and sucks. Cleanliness and safety downtown especially at night is a concern. The old lyrics, "The freaks come out at night." are appropriate.
Even Spokane is experiencing similar degredation as Portland, Seattle etc.
Why do these cities allow themselves to become so unsafe and dirty? all pretty much run by the libtards.

I only spent my time in Downtown which has nice restaurants and everything is within walking distance.
The best part is the beautiful natural park called "Riverfront Park" where the Spokane river is traversing; there are playgrounds for children, benches for relaxation, jogging trails, a pond with geese and ducks, a small Japanese garden and an open auditorium for performances. The garden with huge trees is magnificent. This park with the natural river in the middle of downtown is uniquely Spokane.

Spokane is a nice city.
Spokane is a nice city. There are a lot of restaurants downtown within walking distance or a short Uber ride. The river area is beautiful and a must-see. As with other cities, the unhoused population is growing, and can be somewhat aggressive, so travel in groups and be aware of your surroundings.

Spokane has some lovely areas to visit, especially Manito Park. There are some beautiful old homes in the Rockwood area. It is not, however, the place to look for boutique shopping. I definitely would recommend dining at one of the restaurants located adjacent to the Spokane Falls, for the view as well as the fine dining. You do not want to pass up the carousel. It is remarkable, with an interesting history.

Spokane has a lot going for it with the nearby mountains.
Spokane has a lot going for it with the nearby mountains. However, the trash and the homeless that seemed to be everywhere were a turnoff. We attended the "Pigout in the Park" event and there seemed to be way too much food. I guess that is what a pigout is meant to be. The music was good except you could hear the other bands performing at the same time, and it created a mixed sound rather than listening to only one band. Perhaps the park is too small for more bands to be able to play without competing sounds. There seemed to be too many commercial vendors that mass produce the same things at the event as well. I would prefer more original artwork myself, but I understand commercial vendors need to make money too. We drove around to quite a few places, and I didn't see any areas that didn't have a fair amount of trash. We stayed at a nice hotel with beautiful views of the mountains, but the streets getting to the hotel had rundown homes and homeless in plain view. We did eat at a cute bar, but it was a bit dark inside, and the potato salad had potatoes that didn't serm fully cooked in it. The sandwich, on the other hand, was delicious, and my friends drank beer and really liked their selection of draft beers. In summary, unforunately, Spokane is not a city I would care to ever visit again.

I was recently there for 3 days.
I was recently there for 3 days. It was a quick trip that I had only planned a few weeks before. I enjoyed the parks, trails, and the local breweries. I rented a bike and rode ~20 miles to the east to the Idaho border which was relatively easy to do. I took the Empire Build Amtrak train from Portland and had no issues. Also, pubic transportation for a city this size was pretty good.
NOTHING: Booked weeks in advance, communicated on day one I would be arriving at 12:30am after 38 hours of flights from Australia, Philippines, Vancouver BC, Seattle then to Spokane. Got confirmation by email response from the hotel on the late check in. Heard nothing from the hotel when they overbooked and no longer had a room for me, rooms were still showing available the day before. In detail I stressed my late arrival and loooong travel days.
Hotel was clean, modern, very comfortable. The rooms were spacious enough for a couple, the amenities (pool and gym) were lovely and although crowded, did not feel packed. The staff was very friendly and always willing to help. Downtown and the riverfront areas are all walking distance with CDA only 35 minutes away and a very easy drive if visiting the lake. We would absolutely stay at the property again during our next visit to Spokane.
October 10, 2021. Attractive new Motel 6 Spokane Downtown decor a pleasant surprise. Very quiet in upstairs room 204. Bed just wonderful. After arrival at midnight driving from Spokane airport, dead tired, we found the desk clerk very quick, personable and helpful. :) Loved having two bedside tables with the new cell phone USB and electrical next to the bed and the charming little lights. Large walk in shower very nice too.
I didn’t like anything. It was located in a ratty section of Spokane with homeless and addicts everywhere around the area and hotel. I didn’t feel safe. No parking, only a surprise $30 fee to have it parked two blocks away. No manager available to talk to. Had to talk to restaurant manager who was of absolutely no help.
Crappy property and I can’t believe Bookings.com recommended it.
It is a new hotel and we had a great view. I was a little confused as I know Spokane and could not picture a Hampton In Downtown. It is not truly downtown in the bar/restaurant scene, it is across the freeway on the hill by Sacred Heart Hospital. That didn't both us but you couldn't really walk from downtown if that is what somebody wants. I will definitely stay there again.
I have recently been hotel-ing/ AirBnB-ing it across the country the last couple of weeks and this was the coolest concept I have seen yet. If I am ever in Spokane again this will be my first choice, additionally if this company has other properties I look forward to looking for those first before I look for other hotels.
Incidental charges were only $10 per room per night. Riverfront park is right out the door. River and downtown view from our deck was absolutely spectacular! Pet friendly was a plus. Price for king suites was great. Indoor pool and continental breakfast is why I chose this hotel and we were not disappointed.
We had a "no view" inside room, and although we were very close to the active train track thru Spokane, it did not wake you up like it can at the Old Davenport. The room was very quiet, never heard the "neighbors". We ate breakfast at the hotel 3 days and it was reasonably (surprisingly) priced and good.
I’m a tightwad senior who hates spending money. A trip east for my 70th birthday felt like time for a splurge. Traveled extensively thru my career as a wildland firefighter, never had experienced such a quality hotel. Worth the $$$.
no hot water at all ,,water was very dirty muddy ,, there is bed bugs and mold in the ac mini split,, no phone in the room ,no clock and the ac did not work very well the lock on the window is broken, this hotel sucked very much
Continental Breakfast was good. Convenience was the best thing, as we walked everywhere and needed to walk to Spokane arena to see Paul McCartney. Very convenient hotel and close to bus stop to get to and from the airport.
Employees are amazing, courtesy. Love the location of the hotel in Spokane, close to the shopping center, restaurants and the beautiful scenery in the city. I look forward to my next visit.
Very clean and organized. Lot easier to use the code than I thought at first. Came to downtown Spokane for a convention during the weekend, and the travel apartment was excellent to stay in.
I am amazed at the location, the murals took me to Miami.the room is clean and the beds are exceptional.Staffs are friendly and efficient. We highly recommend Steam Plant Hotel.
The room was quite nice, very comfortable, probably the best Days Inn I have stayed in. The Inn is right along the main highway coming into Spokane from the north.
