Absolutely loved this place. Wish we could have stayed longer. Could not fault anything and would highly recommend. Very relaxing and inviting. Lovely breakfast and friendly staff.

I loved every square inch of this property! It was such a unique vibe on the inside! The attention to detail is exquisite, so many things to look at. Everything was clean and well thought out! I felt very safe here too which was important.
Very nice Inn, used by generations. Great view of Shasta and walking distance to town for meals if needed. We ate in our room with microwave, refrigerator, and table and chairs. We only stayed overnight on our way home so visit was not for sightseeing.

We like the city with all its new age type stuff, fresh water fountain always flowing at the corner and great pizza options. I'll leave you to find which one we always go to. We really do try to make sure we get to town before they close. We also like the way the city really feels close to and connected with the not too far off mountain. There are also some really excellent water falls in nearby Dunsmir if you have just a little time and the inclination. Not to far off Mossbrae Falls is really outstanding and there are others, but if you've got even more time, then Burney Falls is just beyond!

Shasta has a great little downtown with shops and some unique restaurants and bars. Yak's Shack is a funky restaurant with great food and outside seating. The area has tremendous hiking and Lake Siskiyou is 10 minutes away and is a great place to swim.
I love the vibe of the place and the mountain, of course, is spectacular! In the winter, there is lots of skiing and outdoor adventures to be had. In the summer you can relax and hike it's beautiful mountain.

Mount Shasta is a lovely little ski-town that offers a lot for people traveling out of the ski season. We stayed in the Strawberry Valley Inn which is a bout 10 minutes walk from out of town and set in a nice garden location. Nearby (next door and over the road) are a couple of great restaurant options. We walked into town and went to a nice brewpub for one dinner.
We also hiked a couple of trails that are short and fairly flat, both were in town.

Mt. Shasta Ranch Bed and Breakfast was the definition of a relaxing and well-run accommodation that surpassed all expectations. I highly recommend this place if you want easy access to mountain activities, or if you prefer to relax on the porch with a cup of tea or glass of wine (and a homemade cookie!).

It is a wonderful place to stay to enjoy the natural features of the area.
A lot of trails, scenic roads and relaxing places.
Don't miss the City Park and the Sacramento River headwaters.
Have a diner at the first Black Bear restaurant.
If you are on a tight schedule, you can miss the visit to the Pluto's Cave.
We booked the reservation on line late in the day and found out we had to check in by 8p. We were an hour and a half away and it was 6:30p. We called and told them we hoped we would be there by 8. She said she would stay til we arrived. We made it there at 7:59 . She quickly checked us in and gave us our key. She was great. The room was comfortable and cozy. We went for the breakfast in the morning. It was like being in a tea room in England. Loved it., not just the ordinary hotels. Would highly recommend.
Hotel is well-managed and very clean. Staff was efficient and friendly, check-in was easy. Room was a standard 2 double bed hotel room, but very clean. Good working microwave and refrigerator. Good supply of toiletries and towels. Continental breakfast was included in the price and had a good array of offerings, plus a box of fresh, local fruit for guests to take along on their travels. Location is just a couple of minutes south of downtown, in a very quiet location.
Friendly, accommodating staff. Great place to meet and greet on the patio and in the lobby. We had a family reunion of about 30 people. We monopolized most of the hotel. The staff was awesome. We made sure we kept everything clean when we left the deck and or lobby. The staff made sure the areas were ready to go door us again the next day. This property and their staff made our vacation/family reunion awesome and memorable! Thanks! We’ll be back. (Sorry😉)
This is family operated small hotel. You could not find may of them left in California now. Room was big enough and clean with comfortable bed. Owner provided excellent home made breakfast. Tea and chocolate cupcakes served whole day. It is short ride from Mt Shasta town. My wife left reader in the room. I called and asked to send it to us. We got it back by USPS a couple of days later. I can highly recommend tis hotel.
The treehouse is a cool place with an old vibe in the quiet town of Mt shasta. I knowingly overpaid for the last room available, so wont complain about price. It was far more on your website of booking.com
Twice as much actually as directly dealing with the hotel. But, they were full, and booking with booking.com was the only way to access that secret last room. It all worked out!
Views of Mt. Shasta were amazing from our hotel balcony! Room was large and bathroom had 2 sinks. Easy to walk to town for dinner and shopping. Easy access to the I5 and gas station. Quality of the breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Location was also close to the road to access Gumboot Lake! Loved the cabin/lodge feel to the main part of the hotel.
We were able to park right in front of our room that has been refurbished. The hotel is located on the Main Street in Shasta City. Our room had a peek a boo view of the mountain and there is an outdoor common patio area that looked very pleasant. The bed was comfortable. This property was very adequate for a one night stay.
Beautiful looking hotel with chalets to match, the rooms were spotless, the beds were comfortable and the shower hot, it's situated at the far end of town so you don't get the traffic noise but there are plenty of food outlets nearby. Breakfast is a simple affair but it was filling so it was good enough for us.
the public spaces are great and the public kitchen and bbq were very helpful. There was a movie and live music on different nights and great raffle prices.
The room is spacious with a nice outdoor activities touch like a hammock and a place to store the bikes. The hotel is a pet friendly, so that was a plus too
The lodge is new and very nice. The facility is a good size and easy to use. The lights are on at night, so you can camp safely.
The exterior, interior and souvenirs are all tasteful.
Easy access to Mount Shasta and nearby waterfalls, comfortable to return to the inn and rest during the hot weather.
i liked how it was close to thew ramps for sledding and to the ski resort in Mount Shasta. It felt super cozy in the room and when it got cold we could heat up the room very fast. We were also able to get a larger room than what we would have gotten which was very nice to have.
Beautiful hotel right in the heart of downtown Mount Shasta. Walking distance to.. everything.
Loved how history of the building and the town was incorporated in the interior design. Very clean and cozy room. Had a great experience here.
I have been staying at this hotel several times already when visiting Shasta. And every time I like it more and more. Something new appears, improves. There is a jacuzzi, a swimming pool, green grass for walking dogs and much more.
One thing I have to mention is the breakfast is so good and they have a lovely puppy. The hotel is remodelled from an ancient house so rooms are on the same level and really close to each other but noise is managable.
The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was also very clean and nice. I like the vegan soap and the focus on sustainability. The location and view of Mount Shasta was also very nice.
The chalets are near the lake, it’s like a camp with chalets spaced generously apart, yet inside is a modern hotel room. It was a lovely place to stay, the trail by the lake had a great view of Mt Shasta.
It was good to be there. We enjoyed the cleanliness and we had there all that we needed.
Good location and easy access. Hopefully we are going to come back to Mt. Shasta and we'll consider this Hotel.
It was a very nice family trip, the hotel is closed to Skii location and we had very fun weekend there. We surely will be booked there in summer for our summer vacation.
