Good price if you received all that was advertised and paid for so long as you're OK wallpaper rips, rust and toilet problems in your room and broken flooring in the breakfast area.

Allowed late check-in, hotel host was available by phone and was with us in 10-15 minutes.
Shower was ok.
This is a very great place to stay. Area is convenient to restaurants, shopping, and sightseeing. Check in was fast , easy and hassle free. No security deposits like last two motels. Swimming pool was inside very nice. It was to cold for me. I wish it had been heated. We stayed in a king room. The room was very nice. Had a recliner chair. Made it feel like my living room at home. The king size bed was nice. Not pillow soft but it slept fine. Parking lot was easy parking. The room had refrigerator. Coffee maker , and microwave. They had iron board, blow dryer , great big bath tub with shower. Carpet flooring which was nice. I enjoyed my stay. Wish had more time to stay in area sight see but on schedule so only able to stay one night. The price was reasonable. Use coupon from welcome center for best price. The restaurant Pizza Zone was great place to eat. Good salad bar was priced well. The pizza , pasta , salad bar , ice cream , and dessert was so good. The area is easy to drive with every thing you need close by you. The pizza zone had game room big nice for all ages. Family meal with fun game room.
Next time I would plan on a longer stay to sight see the area. The area was really nice with a lot to do. So much to see. I enjoyed this area so much.
I highly recommend this motel for your stay.
I will return here next year.

If you've never seen the corn palace I think its worth checking out at least once in your life. Aside from that it's a fairly normal town for its size, with plenty of choices for eating and entertainment.

Mitchell is a very fun place that we will return to.
Mitchell is a very fun place that we will return to. I have been there a few times before, but this trip was to introduce my granddaughter to the area. The Corn Palace was cute and fun. But the prehistoric Indian village archaeological site was out of this world. We also enjoyed their Museum. And their gift shop. The whole town was unusually cheerful, it seemed.

The bathroom was the issue with the room.
The bathroom was the issue with the room. Everything worked but the floor was dirty when we arrived. There was hair in the bathtub. The pipes above our room leak or have leaked. There was mold on the ceiling along with water damage. There was also mold on the wall. Things just are not fixed anywhere near to professionally. I wouldn't recommend anybody to stay here. Honestly, I wouldn't have this motel on the booking site.

The thing that you hang clothes on was too close to the A/C.
The thing that you hang clothes on was too close to the A/C. The sink area in the bathroom was very (too) small.
There were good places to eat nearby and prices were reasonable.
The "corn palace" was pretty boring.

I loved seeing the Corn Palace and hearing about its history...
I loved seeing the Corn Palace and hearing about its history. It was about an hour away from the state fair, so not a bad drive to go there. Twin Dragon Chinese restaurant was nearby and had very good food. A street closure and detour made heading north a little more difficult, but I figured it out.
Meet my expectations but I've stayed in newer, more updated Holiday Inns. This one was very busy (good for them) but that meant it was a little loud, staff said they've been booked pretty solid over the summer with many families. The pool seemed very popular with them. The main attraction in Mitchell is the Corn Palace which is just up the street - most of the hotels seem to be concentrated in the area south of the town center as this one is, so might try another one in town if we ever drive through again.
The Thunderbird is a standout motel in Mitchell.
We were offered a room in the new wing with clean, nice, new room, AC, and relatively quiet for a comfortable stay.
Breakfast is very basic
We are not interested in pools or hot tubs so cannot comment on those.
For the price, it is a great value considering we were traveling during the Sturgis rally.
Don't be fooled by the run down exterior, this hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. The pool and the golf course inside was a fun surprise, considering how cheap my room was. My room was very clean and my bed was cozy. Would definitely stay here again.
The room was clean and comfy. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel was family friendly. Breakfast was good. The pool was great for kids, which is why we chose this hotel. Would definitely stay there again, as well as recommend to others!
We loved the pool. It was very clean and the beds were super comfy. We had a horrible time at the hotel we stayed at before this one, so it was a breath of fresh air!
The fact that this hotel was locally owned made it more appealing to book. The other Days Inns are below par- poor service & unclean. This one was well maintained.
