Comfort Inn Madison, hotel in Madison

Located close to downtown, the Comfort Inn hotel is two miles from Hanover College and Clifty Falls State Park.

Friendly, helpful staff. Pool was warm and kid friendly. Good breakfast. Gas station and Dollar General across the road. Would stay there again, just to check out Madison. Would wait for a not so busy weekend, so room rates would be lower.

Riverboat Inn & Suites, hotel in Madison

Located in Madison, 15 miles from General Butler State Park, Riverboat Inn & Suites has accommodations with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking and a bar.

The location was quite nice, overlooking the river in clear site of the bridge. Our room was in the French Quarters section of the property, which was a distance from the lobby and main property. The room was clean, but dated and there wasn't much privacy as the patio/walk-way was just outside and the blinds did not entirely cover the window.

Our trip to Madison, IN exceeded our expectations.

Our trip to Madison, IN exceeded our expectations. The people are so friendly and the city is steeped in history, it was like taking a step back in time. We enjoyed our visit and could’ve stayed a few days longer sightseeing and visiting the downtown shops.

Madison is a cute historical town with great small restaurants, boutique shops and antique malls. There is a nice state park with great hiking and beautiful views. It's easy to navigate through the city and is also a good central location to many areas that are great for day trips!

Madison is known as The Music City of Indiana!

Madison is known as The Music City of Indiana! We went to a show at The Red Bicycle Hall and ate delicious food at Off Broadway Tap Room. We stayed at The Riverboat Inn and Shopped some boutiques like Scarlett Begonias and had a wonderful time! Highly recommend!

    We love Madison!

We love Madison! We live in Columbus, IN and visit Madison atleast monthly. The historic homes and businesses are exceptional. In fact, we were in town on the 41st Holiday Tour of Historic Homes. The tour was amazing and we really appreciate all the folks who work very hard to make it so! We ate dinner at the Broadway Tap...delicious and great service (thank you Violet!). We love the coffee and scones at the Red Roaster. We visited the Lantier Winery...gorgeously decorated for the holidays and fantastic selection of wines. We found parking easy everywhere we went. We finished our evening at St. Michael's Church...the last stop on the tour. It is no longer an operating Church but the historical society and the City of Madison is keeping it alive...thank you!!

Main Street is so quaint with tons of character!

Main Street is so quaint with tons of character! The riverfront area is relaxing with nice landscaping and benches to sit and watch the water roll by. Wineries, breweries and cute little restaurants are everywhere. Parking downtown is plentiful. Clifty Falls State Park is beautiful with good hiking and a good restaurant at the Inn. I wish Madison would hurry and bring back Crystal Beach, their public swimming pool. Guests need a place to swim!

We were visiting Madison for its historical importance and I feel that the Riverboat Inn fits right in with this genre. The buildings are older with concrete stairs leading to the second floor. The room was simply decorated but it was very clean. Even though we didn't get a view of the river, we could go on the deck off the lounge area and enjoy the view. The breakfast was simple grab and go, but it was adequate.

The house was great! I loved the backyard. We didn't get to use the firepit but plan to on our next stay. The hot tub was so relaxing after a day walking around Madison! The grill with charcoal/propane/smoker with a gazebo cover was a great option as well for those planning to grill out during their stay. And plenty of grassy yard left if you brought cornhole or other fun outdoor games!

This property was amazing! The attention to detail not only in design but amenities was great. It had everything and more. We especially enjoyed the Nespresso machine. It was within walking distance to all things downtown Madison has to offer. We didn’t want to leave and wish our stay was longer. We would defiantly book again.

I was pleasantly surprised about the professional approach and laid back attitude when it came to both checking in and out. The staff wasn't pushy about checkout like most hotels/ motels are. The breakfast was OK but that is minor to how wonderful the staff was.. From manager down to housekeeping, they wer, are great.

The hotel was beautiful & right on the river in Madison. It’s lovely, modern, and comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed my room where I could stream what I wanted on the tvs! I kept admiring the architecture in the room and building. A lot has been preserved historically.

I felt the hotel room was WAYYYY over priced. Decent rooms, nice bed but the hotel is really old with thin walls so we got zero sleep due to the slamming of doors, walking above us etc. the staff was AMAZING and very helpful!!!
