The breakfast was good. My kids didn't like the milk to much I'm not sure what was wrong with the milk but everything was good to me!!!

The breakfast was good but the evening treat was excellent.

The restaurants in Independence are over rated via recommendations of those who live there in terms of quality and taste of food. Yet, the beautiful, quiet, fun, most interesting place with the most delicious breakfast is close to all of our favorite venues. The owner Kim and along with staff members Robin, Deb, Sheila, the handy Man are all very welcoming making us and other guest feel right at home. An Absolutely Amazing experience however, we would recommend finding restaurants elsewhere in the metro area.

It's a nice place to stay at, the facility was clean and everything
was in good working order. The check in staff was friendly and professional. But I did experience a minor service issue with the third shift attendant. I had book for four guest and made a request for 2 more wash clothes, she gave me a hard time about it she said that she was following corporate policy, so I asked for the corporate information. After that exchange she gave my daughter the towels as I had requested.

Independence yes historic and once probably a beautiful town. But now sadly it's been over turned by crooked greedy police breaking and going against our constitutional rights. Full of playcaters and sideways lawmakers

Quaint, friendly town.
Quaint, friendly town. Very peaceful and we could walk around Independence Square without fear. A lot of history and shops and restaurants. But, we found that so much around the square is closed on Sunday and Monday’s. Especially restaurants. I think we found only 2 which was Square Pizza (which was very good) and a barbecue place that we didn’t eat at. There is Harry S. Truman history everywhere as well as the Santa Fe and Oregon trail history. The Vaile Mansion and Bingham-Waggoner Estate should be a must see. Also, the 1859 Jail Museum and the Chicago &Alton Depot next to the Frontier Museum. We were here for a weekend get away and stayed at a wonderful B&B called Silver Heart Inn & Cottages. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed the relaxed , friendly atmosphere. We will come back!

This hotel was disappointing, especially for the price we paid. It was not at all as described on the website. The room was run down and dirty. The front door would not close completely. The linens had cigarette burns on them. No fridge or microwave. The bathroom was small and dirty, no towels available. Only small hand towels. The only good thing about the property was the location.

Independence is a buzzing little area on the east side of the city. Easily navigated if you stay along i70. Plenty of restaurants, shopping, and interesting things to do. The historic downtown area is cool too.
Excellent and calm place, but extremely dirty and with bad odor. The people who live in the hotel are strange and disgust in some situations, such as a lady picking up cigarette remains at the door of the rooms for smoking. Extremely dirty the bathroom bathtub and the bedroom floor. The furniture with bad odor and the room is extremely inappropriate. I stayed at the hotel because there were no options around.
We were visiting KC to attend our first Royals baseball game & the location of this hotel was perfect! The hotel was full of softball teams so we expected a lot of noise but it was VERY quiet in our room! The beds were super comfortable & the room & restroom were VERY clean!! The staff was friendly & helpful with directions around the area. Lots of restaurants nearby — wonderful trip!
The pool was amazing and very clean. Our room was a good size and had two televisions in it. All of the staff members were pleasant and seemed happy to be there. We loved that the Bass Pro Shop was right next door, and the Mexican Restaurant next door was delicious. Also, there were many options for the provided breakfast at the hotel.
The breakfast was ok, sausage wasn't cooked. But we ate toast and bananas. It was a GREAT HOTEL. We LOVED the vintage of it. We will DEFINITELY stay there again. Our TV didn't work in the room we were out in and he gave us The BIGGEST ROOM AND NO EXTRA CHARGE. VERY HOSPITABLE. It is a VERY CLEAN HOTEL.
The hotel was beyond dirty and front door was locked all through the day I had issues getting orders and the front desk lady cursed me n my delivery person out saying no visitors there were bugs and the shower curtain definitely wasn’t changed no fridge or microwave in rooms it’s terrible
Travelling for a long time so this was a great little break from hotel rooms. Cooked our own meals and watched Netflix and had a hot spa while the laundry was done. Very close to the Truman Presidential Library and Hivee grocery store recommended by host. Great find.
Breakfast was fine. We had trouble in the morning with a black person pounding on a door close to our room. This happened at 6:30 AM screaming and pounding on the door 3 times. This person was not staying at the hotel. I went down to the office to complain.
There was nothing that we liked. We did not even stay in the room. We chose to drive home rather than stay after our event due to the disgusting condition of the room and the unsafe conditions surrounding the hotel.
I love that they kept the old style of the house and didn't update it like most hotels. The room was clean and the bed was soft. The breakfast was the best part I've never had a better french toast.
Location and breakfast both really nice. Cleanest hotel I have ever seen. Beautiful garden for guests. Basically across the street from the Harry S Truman home NHS. This is a great little place!
