Hillsville, the town was okay.
Hillsville, the town was okay. Only issue was the Motor Lodge. We had a nice meal at Fiddlers Restaurant. Enjoyed looking and riding up and the three main roads around, other than I-77. This is not a luxury hotel.
This is not a luxury hotel. I tried it once because of good reviews a few years back. It is dated but who cares. I just want a clean comfortable room with a refrig and micro and this is great. TV is great and good list of channels after a long drive. I have stayed here multiple times every year now while traveling. Hillsville is a blue collar town that is not thriving- a lot of closed down or run down places. We did find a good dinner place - Perfect Pizza It served a variety of foods, offered gluten free pizza and staff were very pleasant and hard working. It had a large dining room as well. It had quite a few gas stations and a cvs. You need a car to get around,at least from our motel location.
