Victory Lanes has fantastic food and great fun! When we were sent from the hotel to the bowling alley we were a bit hesitant at first but upon arriving there, we couldn't have asked for a better place. Friendly staff, fun bowling, and delicious food! Didn't get to try the fries that everyone was talking about but maybe next time. I mean when a place goes through 300 pounds of potatoes from making fries in only four days, you know it has to be good!

Many people know of Deer Lodge as the home to a Montana state prison. It is much more than that and a very quaint small town with charm and friendly residents. The draft horse show at the fairgrounds is a must see as is the Grant-Kohrs Ranch.

Deer Lodge is easy to get to.
Deer Lodge is easy to get to. It's a small town and it's main attraction is the Territorial Prison. A good tour of the prison, either self-guided or not. Just outside the prison is a great Ice Cream Shop. Town relies on the prison for its tourists. Other attractions on Main Street are related to the prison. However found a great coffee shop on Main Street, that served good coffee and breakfast. For those who do not want breakfast they have a drive-through.

Territorial Prison and car museums were great.
Territorial Prison and car museums were great. The other four museums were enjoyable as well. We took a drive around the town and seen some really awesome old churches and other neat architectural buildings. Grant-Khor ranch exhibits were fascinating as well.
When we arrived at the hotel we found that instead of the double I had reserved, they had us in a room with a single queen bed. The owners claimed that booking.com was responsible for giving us the wrong room. They were fully booked, but they managed to find someone who had booked a king bed and only needed a queen, so they switched rooms and gave it to us at the queen price.
Have you ever stayed in a hotel that didn’t provide any shamp? Neither had I until this llace. Also there was only one coffe cup for two people. Some mold on the shower curtain and caulking on the tub and sinks. Parking was terrible. It’s a total mess there with cars parked all over the place. Would not recommend.
It’s an older property on the outside, but very clean and newly remodeled on the inside! We loved the shower and the beds were comfortable. A great location near the Old Montana Prison and Auto Museum and The Prison Cow, which I highly recommend.
Cute little place right near the historic area of town and a walking trail by the river. Room was fine. Bed was comfortable. Area was quiet and great for walking in. Staff were helpful
