The location was excellent. You could walk to restaurants easily. I really enjoyed the delicious cookies in the afternoon. The small touches go a long way.

Crested Butte ski area is not very large so the runs are quite short. The ski area is best for beginner or expert skiers. The downtown area is quant but the food at 4 of the 5 restaurants we went to was mediocre and quite pricey.

This town, which we came to 10 years ago has changed .
This town, which we came to 10 years ago has changed . Hard to find a good restaurant or a good coffee shop. Locals are not friendly at all. I got the feeling that it is a very progressive town that looks a lot like a mix of Boulder and Nederland. the speed limit is mostly 10mph everywhere with 15mph thrown in here and there. This is a town where it is all about the folks who live there, not about the visitors spending money there.
We are Colorado natives and won't be back.

I was in town for a conference.
I was in town for a conference. The free transportation around town and the mountain was fantastic!
Staying in Crested Butte, I felt like I was in the land of Oz...
I kept looking for the lollipop kids, then realized perhaps I was the lollipop kid!
The food options in town were excellent. Incredible pizza at Secret Stash was like New York- perhaps better, if that's possible. and the Thai place, Thai Chili 78, was spot on.

I love Crested Butte.
I love Crested Butte. I have been there a number of times before, and I continue to be spellbound by the beauty of the surrounding area. There are many gorgeous hiking trails, and in July the wildflowers were amazing. There is no end to outdoor activities (hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, rafting, kayaking, fishing, etc.). The town is fun with shops and restaurants. The area has become a lot more expensive over the years as it has been discovered by more people, and the town can have crowds (especially on the weekends). The grocery store is pretty small, and while they carry the basics, they don't have many specialty items. Be sure to pick up provisions in Gunnison on your way in if you prefer specific items or brands. The entire area is very dog-friendly, so be sure to bring your pooch on this trip!

Crested Butte is a nice place with a lot of beautiful drives, hikes, and bike trails. However, our friends went to the grocery store and they were out of almost everything. They didn't have any lunch meat, no bananas, and no fresh fruit. They need to restock more often. The grocery store is the only one in town and it isn't very well stocked.
The free busses are very convenient to use, since downtown parking can be hard to find. Restaurants are very busy, and you need reservations in many of them.

Crested Butte is amazing to visit if you get the chance.
Crested Butte is amazing to visit if you get the chance. Because it's more of a commitment to get there (if you're coming from Denver etc), it's not as busy as other resort towns. The terrane is breath taking, winter or summer.
- Secret Stash Pizza is a must visit
- Camp 4 Coffee is a great cafe
- Crested Butte Burger Co on the resort is super good and not $25 per burger
- It's very easy to get around CB
Hanna and Cisco are wonderful hosts.. Breakfast was great this year...Housekeeping staff is excellent and friendly. Guests are great to get to know, location and views are wonderful there in Crested Butte. Have been going there for many years when the Catmurs ran the place and Hanna and staff are continuing that wonderful tradition. We'll be back soon
Great Swiss Alps Lodge feel. Comfy lobby with a fireplace, good breakfast with non-dairy milk alternative, free parking, walking distance from the Crested Butte ski mountain base area, warming room for ski boots. Beer, wine and spirits available for purchase in the lobby. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Everything was really great! Colleen was very welcoming and provided some very interesting conversations! Great breakfast was provided, the cookies are also amazing (take them as snacks to the ski hill!). And with such a great location, just a block away from the main street of Crested Butte!
Elevation Hotel & Spa has the best location in Crested Butte. I have been staying there for years and you cannot beat the location at the base of the mountain, lift line right outside the door. The rooms are clean and comfortable, bigger than most rooms in CB and the views are incredible.
The suite had ample space and kitchenette was perfect for our needs. The pool and hot tub were great, and having safe bike storage was a huge plus. The hotel was close to the base area (for coffee and treats), and situated well for rides through Snodgrass and the 401.
This was a lovely condo in an extremely good location for skiing at Crested Butte. It was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The wood-burning fireplace was nice, but did not actually provide much heat. The bedrooms and bathrooms were good, large and as described.
It was not as busy as Crested Butte and a little cooler. The pool was amazing with lots of transportation to town or Gunnison if you didn’t want to drive. The property was very clean and the kitchen was nice to have.
I was not aware of breakfast. The facilities for cooking breakfast, however, are beyond reproach. Crested Butte Hostel provides a complete and full kitchen- you could prepare a beef wellington if you wanted to.
Breakfast was a selection of fruit, pastries, oatmeal, yogurt and Muffins. The room was small but it was a true European style hotel. Location was right In down town crested butte.
Location- walking distance to lifts. Great property- clean and nicely furnished. Loved the fitness center in the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was easy
This hostel is really special. well run, clean and inviting. Super simple, but quality, and just right for a short stay in Crested Butte. The beds are unusually comfortable!
The breakfast was good and offered fresh fruit. yogurt/ granola ,protein and milk. The location is far enough from the noise of the main street in Crested Butte.
Location was great. Condo was as expected. The hotel is family-friendly but nothing fancy. Pool area is nice and hotel restaurant is fine for quick meals.
