This is a resort style hotel situated close to the beach. If you are into a resort style atmosphere, where you are picked up and dropped off by taxi, and everything at your beck and call, then this place and the location will suit you. If you want to explore you can walk along the beach and promenade to the city centre but have comfortable shoes on. Definitely a lot of British tourists holidaying here. 😉

Well maintained, nice design, multiple pools, great beach with soft silky sand. Staff is great - prompt, hard working, always willing to help.
Quiet, relaxing. Spa was really nice as well - excellent massage. Someone mentioned in a review that beds are hard - they are on a firmer side but found them really comfortable.
The food is great - so many choices! Loads of fresh salads or ingredients for salads, clay pots local dishes, barbecues, generous desert bar.
Take a room with a pool view and if you’re an early riser, the sunrise is fantastic.

We really liked the historic part of town - the Ribat is beautiful (with a great guide!). The archaeology museum is definitely worth a visit. The souk was an enjoyable pace and you didn't feel hassled. The restaurants were good. Taxis were cheap and easy to find.
City could do with a big clean up and shows clear signs of suffering financially, but that didn't take away from our trip.

I found Sousse to be a great place to visit if you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. I was pleased to discover that the local people were friendly and welcoming, which made my trip more enjoyable and memorable.
One of the highlights of my trip was having a hire car, which allowed me to explore the surrounding areas and discover hidden gems such as the castle. It was fascinating to learn that the castle was the location for the popular movie Monty Python's Life of Brian. This made my trip even more exciting and memorable.
However, it's worth noting that if you're looking for a bustling city with lots of activities to do and places to see, Sousse may not be the best choice. From my experience, Sousse is more of a laid-back destination where you can unwind and relax.
Overall, I had a positive experience visiting Sousse and enjoyed exploring the surrounding areas. Thank you for taking the time to read my review!

The area is beautiful.
The area is beautiful. There are so many activities to do there. The transportation system is excellent and very affordable. You can walk almost everywhere really, but if you are lazy like me, you can either use your phone to order a Bolt taxi or just flag one down on the road.

I used Sousse as a base to travel to other parts of Tunisia by train and car. If you wanted a beach / resort hotel to just chill then this would be an excellent choice. If you wanted more exploration of the history and culture then Sousse is a little limited and I think would "do" all the local things in 2/3 days.

Sousse has a lot of history for a not so big town, walks around the winding streets medina is a real pleasure, forget the main way, try following the walls enclaves where people live and go shopping. There are ateliers shops there and you can see what their projects are. Visit the archeological museum, it is housed in a nice building and has a few interesting treasures. Walk on the beach, it is very relaxing.
A gorgeous traditional Tunisian guest house tucked away in the Médina. Our host was lovely, very accommodating and he did everything to make sure we had a comfortable stay. He even let us stay in “Dar Baaziz 2” another guest house just along from the original Dar Baaziz so we could have a twin bedded room as one was not available where we had booked. We could choose any of the rooms we wanted and we had the place to ourselves, which was great!
Wish I stayed longer! The hotel itself is beautiful, the room is exquisite, the breakfast is an absolute treat, and the service (especially Linda!). The guide recommended to me by the hotel, Mahdi, was also amazing and I appreciated getting to visit el Jem and the “real” Kairouran during my stay. I can’t recommend this Dar enough; it’s in the heart of the Medina and close to the sights of Sousse yet still relaxing and peaceful.
Hotel is really nice and we got a room from higher floors with sea view. Room was newly renovated with light colors and new furnitures. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed under Ramadan so it was pretty quiet in Sousse and in the hotel. Breakfast was good and you had multiple options to choose between. The location is great, you are close to the town and beautiful beach. Beautiful pool area.
Literally everything ! nothing to complain about !
The best hotel I have visited in Tunisia so far, the stuff is incredibly nice and very polite and helpful !
the food was also the highlight of the stay!
the quality is beyond great!
rooms were clean and very comfortable !
the pool is sea water pool , very relaxing and clean!
I highly recommande the hotel, and certainly coming back next summer!
Very kind staff but rooms could be cleaner. Ask for a room on the non-smoking floor if you don’t want your room to stink of sigarettes. The hotel is located in quite a busy area so I did have some noise issues at night. There is one hotel next door that has a club where they party until 2/3am almost every night so if you’re looking for peace and quiet this is unfortunately not the best place.
It is located in a excellent place, inside the Medina and in front of the mosque. We got a huge bedroom with balcony and private bathroom. The hotel was clean and calm, it was like a oasis in the middle of the Tunisian chaos.
The staff was really friendly and polite. I really recommend this places for couples, families or backpackers.
Good value for money. Fully recommended.
The food and drinks are to die for, the service is impeccable and i already booked several stays with the hotel in the near future.
By far the best buffet of food I ever had in Tunisia 🇹🇳
Then even gave out free messages and upgraded our room so what is not to like. Even the mini bar was for free and everyone was so nice to us, loved it absolutely loved it.
The hotel I thought was good, nice big reception foyer and the room was nice and big with a balcony. There’s an outside ok and beach area. It is a good location as it’s close enough to Sousse that you can walk into town if you want to.
Nonetheless, It was a good stay and I think I would stay again, but not for a long time.
Our stay was amazing, we had a really clean room and you could see that the owner puts a lot of love in his guesthouse. We even had cookies in our rooms with our names on it! The owner is super nice and gave us fantastic recommendations for our further trip in Tunisia. We would love to spend more time there!
The resort was amazing and clean. The staff were nice and welcoming; everyone of them was smiling at you and willing to help. The prices were low compared to the service and the sea view we had. It will definitely be my go-to hotel in Sousse. Big thanks to the amazing staff!
Loved everything about this hotel! The look of it, the staff, the location and the food. Can’t wait to come back!
Highly recommend having dinner at the rooftop restaurant; the chef took us by surprise and we absolutely loved the quality of the food!
All the staff is really kind and friendly, discrete at the same time. The hotel is very quiet, with an enjoyable outside patio/terrasse. Room very clean and quiet. Really well located in the centre and at entrance of the medina.
Great place ,friendly and helpful staff. Had a great time and really enjoyed our stay. Room was nice with a sea and pool view. Will definitely head to this hotel if I ever visit Sousse again.
The hotel was a great price and right in the middle of the Medina. Also the free breakfast was probably one of the best light breakfasts I have had. Great value for money.
The location was great, very close to the train station and old city. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was so helpful and sweet.
I liked that it has a private beach, probably the best beachfront hotel in Sousse. Room service is plentiful. Location is so close to Medina and everything.
Beautiful oasis in the old town of Sousse!
All details of this art hotel are made with love.
The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is amazing!!!
