1. Really wonderful location. It is in the remote location. If you are looking for near to nature and quite place then this is the place.
2. I'm assuming it was a chateau that was retrofitted but this has been done wonderfully. When we reached it is was 37 deg C. Inside it was less than 20 deg C without an AC. We felt absolutely wonderful as soon as we entered the place.
3. It has the ambience of the old place with modern amenities.
4. The host was really welcoming. He shared all the restaurants and groceries store location when we reached and was answering all the questions promptly.
Small nice town, with cute narrow streets, a charming stream...
Small nice town, with cute narrow streets, a charming stream, surrounded by trees. Don't miss the stunning views at Nossa Senhora do Castelo. Vouzela has the best and more exquisite pastry/cake in Portugal: Pastéis de Vouzela.

The hotel has been tastefully refurbished and is full of art, books and cosy areas.
The hosts are absolutely lovely!
It was quite a surprise, the space was very comfortable and cosy.
Very nice decoration.
It's near S. Pedro do Sul, so an excelente alternative to the hotels there.
The surroundings are also more beautiful than i was expecting, in special the small city Vouzela and the tracking of the Rios e Levadas in Oliveira de Frades.
And finally, a very warm welcome from our hosts
The simpathy of the hosts is contagious and the accomodation is of high quality, good value for money.
We had breakfast in a new hotel of the same owners - Casa das Ameias - and everything about it was perfect.
We will certainly be back,
This is a well appointed boutique hotel in an architect designed renovated historical building in lovely surroundings. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are extremely comfortable and clean
Authentic features throughout the hotel. Beautiful breakfast room and nice choice. Also fresh sumo de laranja and local cakes with explanation from a cooking book. Great eye for detail and guests.
The location was good and close to the main attractions in the region. The Internet was good enough for work. Service and hotel representatives were really nice and helpful.
