The hotel and location were great! Great balcony overseeing a pretty town..
The day staff were excellent.
The breakfast room was very basic and lacked character....felt like a conference room, no staff, very basic set tables
But good adequate and nice breakfast options, pastries were really nice.
Great place!

beautiful location on the vineyard, very peaceful but quick access back into town/motorway.
The Quinta had everything we needed, the beds were really comfortable and the place was very clean and half way through the week we had a clean and change of bedding.
when we arrived the fridge had essential items and The owner brings breakfast each morning which was fresh bread and pastries.
we would definitely stay here, the pool is lovely but we didn’t have the weather but if the sun was shining it would have been perfect to relax and enjoy swimming with the children.

The owners were really helpful and welcoming. The location and the property are excellent. It was nice to be able to buy some local produce from the owner. The kit hen was well-equipped. I wish we had stayed longer and had a wine tour. This is a great place from which to explore the region.

First of all: Elizabeth and Pedro are lovely people who make you feel part of the family. The Quinta is a peaceful place, good to relax, and to enjoy a book. We really enjoyed sharing the table for dinner and breakfast with other guests and also Elizabeth, Pedro and their daughters, Olga and Marta. One evening we were really impressed by Mozart on a piano; we thought it was a CD but then learned it was Olga playing there. Impressive. Bravo!
Also, the Quinta is not far from Arcos de Valdevez city center. And if you want to visit/travel around, talk to Pedro; he will give you detailed directions, send you links to Google Maps and also print map details. I and Margarida loved the family. And lets not forget: Leve, their lovely dog.

We were unimpressed with & frustrated with No offer to help elderly with luggage, across rough surfaces from the parking area . No resolution for overly warm room, & malfunctioning safe.
Issues with refrigerator not cooling, nonpaved surfaces & uneven granite pavers making luggage transfer difficult . Room was not properly readied with the overly warm temperature and 3 tissues left in tissue box & malfunctioning safe & refrigerator

We have visited more around Arcos de Valdevez than the city itself. Easy to access ATMs and cafes and restaurants. Had lunch in the city, a very good restaurant at Rua Dr. Vaz Guedes, I don't remember the name, I believe was O Lagar.
By the way, the dessert Bolo de Discos was very good

It is a nice small town with a lovely centre and quite some restaurants to choose from. From Arcos it is easy to explore the surroundings. We went to Sistela (passadiços, which were beautiful) and Monção (worth a visit). And visited Quinta do Santiago where they make great Vinhos Verdes and Alvarinho.
Other cities nearby are also very nice, but we already knew them (Ponte de Barca, Ponte de Lima, Viana, etc). And of course Peneda-Geres, which is beautiful. Very beautiful part of Portugal

Great little town in the heart of various wine country regions, surrounded by other small towns, each one cuter than the last one. The National Park is also a stone's throw away. It's a must-visit.

Everything. It was the best house I have ever stayed from all my booking.com travels. 360 view of the vineyards from the house. 3 very well appointed suites finely decorated and providing all the conforts we can look for in a home. D. Rosa and Antonio, were supperb hosts, making us fell absolutely welcome with the northern well known hospitality. All the details and touches provided were very much appreciated. A real must stay just 13 mins north of Arcos de Valdevez. Highly recommended, and definetely we will return.
It is nice hotel with very friendly personnel. The room was with very beautiful view to the river and mountains from the balcony. We liked the open pool outside the hotel with comfortable furniture. The breakfast was good and variable, but if you come 30-40 min before buffet is closed there will be not so many choices, not enough of juice, bacon, fruits for all the guests. We liked the service at restaurant nighttime, very competent and friendly staff including bartender.
The hotel and the area it is located in is truly magnificient: The Minho region with it's many rivers and streams is lush and green all year round and this is the perfect base to start exploring from. The room was spacious and exceedingly comfortable, the staff were very attentive and the breakfast was plentiful. The only thing missing was some shaded parking, but it is free and readily available, so that is not a complaint.
This was the perfect location for us to explore the surrounding countryside by bicycle. A charming little village with friendly people and a little cafe for coffee, beer, and a few snacks. The apartment was good for the four of us and had a locked and covered yard where we could keep our bikes, and a space outside to park the van. Very peaceful, rural setting.
Everything about this house was excellent. The location is near the Gerês National Park but also close to Arcos de Valdevez so you can make a quick getaway into the beautiful outdoors without being too far from civilization. The house is very cute, cozy and well equipped. The hosts also did everything to make us feel welcomed. Definitely recommended.
The host went above and beyond to make us and our kid comfortable. She was very nice and welcoming ans we couldnt had asked for a better treatment.
The place is lovely, comfortable and clean and is located in a lovely rural area.
Kid said he would love to go back to it in summer, that is how good all was.
Solar do Requeijo is an extremely comfortable .
Very well located , close to the river and the centre of Arcos de Valdevez you can literally walk to the centre .
All staff are very friendly and helpful
Hugo at the reception was a pleasure to deal with.
A place to repeat.
Thanks again.
The staff goes the extra mile to make your stay very pleasant. The facilities are beautiful in a recovered old house by the riverside. Enjoy a drink overlooking the Vez river at sunset for a relaxing end of day. It is impossible to get enough of the best spot at Arcos de Valdevez.
Great location, in the hearth of Peneda Geres national park. A lot of beautiful trails at walking distance from the cottage. Peneda is a nice and peaceful village.
We had a very warm and nice welcome and the owner made himself available all time in case we need anything.
We fell in love with this hotel! The place is exceptionally beautiful. The little dinner in the restaurant was lovely. We had a rainy day and did not use the swimming pools, but we will definitely return. The place is stunning.
Expansive and fresh offerings at breakfast, the hotel and dining staff were very helpful and accommodating, and the location was exceptional - I especially enjoyed listening to the river rushing over the waterfall at night.
The employees were super nice and give us good information about the local restaurants and activities.
The hotel is beautiful and the room was quite comfortable.
You can use the pool/jacuzzi area even at night
Modern, well equipped hotel with great facilities and friendly and helpful staff. Both dinner and breakfast were very good. Ample free parking available on site.Great stopping point for visiting Soajo.
The staff is 10! Especially sr EDI, at reception. He is a kind person who has given us all the information needed with kindness and courtesy.
The room is very comfortable and the hotel is beautiful
Great place to say in the heart of Arcos de Valdevez, with good facilities and a very nice pool to overcome the afternoon heat. The owner was really nice and made us feel right at home.
All the hotel experience was great: from professional staff, to cleaning standards, to confortable bed and calm and relax atmosphere. Breakfast was also great!
Such a lovely place, a little gem in northern Portugal. The photos do not do this place justice. Every room had the most spectacular view. We hope to be back.
