I checked in around 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. Check in was fast due to small queue. I was given a room on the 14th floor right in front of the elevator. The windows were facing the sunrise east. The view looks sad. The hills looked barren with no grass and the clouds looked grey. Then things went wrong further when I tried to use the safe. When I keyed in a password, it started beeping non stop! I think it has a battery problem. There were no telephone in the room so I had to go down to tell the reception to fix the safe. However, she instead gave me another room on the same floor.
This time I got room 1409. This time the room window was facing west. Much better as I could see snow capped mountains and the parked yatches at the harbour. I liked that the room has a TV with some decent channels. Was able to watch some performers on Eurovision but I turned it off because the performances were so weird. I liked the shower facilities. It came with towels, soap, hair dryer, waste bins, tissue box and a place to hang your towels. No bathtub but its ok. The room was carpeted which was nice on the feet.
I didn't ask the room cleaning lady to clean my room but I did throw my trash in the trolley bin once every 2 days with my own trash bag. I also liked the elevator. It was fast to arrive.
The breakfast spread was royalty standard. My favourite was the scrambled eggs, baked beans, baked potatoes, salad, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, smoked salmon, yogurt, apple juice and hot chocolate. It opens at 6.30am on weekdays but they actually open the doors 5 minutes earlier. Travelling around Bodø was easy as there are many electric scooters around like Tier and Ryde.
Overall, I was initially contemplating to choose either Raddison Blu or Comfort Hotel but Scandic Havet is more peaceful with better views and breakfast. The location is also better. I also liked that the Grocery stores (REMA 1000 and EUROSPAR) are all nearby. The airport is walking distance.

Bodo was a great place with loads to do.
Bodo was a great place with loads to do. Unfortunately we couldn’t spend enough time but whatever little we spent- we explored the town in the night especially with the full daylight. In the morning we managed to complete the Keiservarden hike as well. Would have loved to spend more time and do the Salten area. Hopefully next time

We were in Bodo for just two nights and didn't wish to rush around, so we enjoyed exploring the waterfront and harbour area, watching the boats and taking in some of the restaurants and bars there. We arrived by train and left by plane - it was just great to be able to walk to the airport, which is close to the centre of the town yet we weren't disturbed by any noise from it during our stay.

Bodø is a charming, very walkable city where lots has been done to make streets accessible for pedestrians and cyclists. The city center (~ from the inner harbor to around Bankgata) is small, with a nice mix of new and traditional architecture and building styles. The streets have trees and wide sidewalks. The main shopping street, Storgata, is very nice and has a wide variety of shops that culminate in the Glashuset interior shopping area with the Koch Shopping Center attached.
I can recommend Nyholmen fort as a nice picnic spot with great view of the city - it's easy to reach it by bicycle. Also recommend the Jektefartsmuseum, which is about 4 km away from the city center.
On my next visit, I would stay a day or so longer and maybe get a rental car one or two days, to be able to go to Kjerringøy. But would also rent a bike again, as well, since getting around Bodø on bike is super easy.

The seashore is packed with huge hotels and other building plus boats thus have to go out of the city to enjoy the senery.
I believe most of the visitors use Bodo as transfer point to Lofoten.
City is clean and has all the necessary services available. Airport just a few minutes from the center.

Such a wonderful place, we loved the area and the lack of commercialism. We enjoyed exploring the town and the aircraft museum. We hired a car and visited Mjelle Beach up the coast and the maelstrom which I would highly recommend.

Small, friendly city. Lots of places to eat and drink.
Small, friendly city. Lots of places to eat and drink. Great natural attractions not too far away; like Saltstraumenbrua, with the fastest running water and whirlpools. Also, the Norwegian Avaition Musem in the noprth of the city is well worth a vist if you have an interest in aircraft and military history.
The food was really nice and a nice bonus to get evening meal too. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and big and clean, maybe slightly dated compared to more modern hotels but I found the bed extremely comfortable and slept the best I have in a long time. We had three dogs and didn’t feel like we were given a worse room due to that, in fact the room was really nice and large.
The rituals products always are nice in clarion hotels. We will definitely stay here again on a return trip.
The hotel is excellent in every way - the ambience of the lobby/bar-reception/breskfast area is very pleasing and warm, the rooms are small but not cramped so they are very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and provided for quite an extended time in the morning. The hotel offers a free laundry facility for the customers, as well as a free gym. The location is superb and if you score a sea-view corner room you win on all fronts. The staff is present at all times and very helpful.
We loooved this hotel:

Thank you again, team Thon PartnerHotel Skagen :)
This was a lovely place to stay after flying in. We walked from the airport, very doable walk with packs on. Easy to find, staff were so helpful, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. For us the best part was the AMAZING breakfast that was provided!! Sooo many food options, including some Norwegian things that I hadn’t had the chance to taste yet. We couldn’t get enough!! Thank you so much for the nice stay Scandic Bodo :)
This is a nice little hotel with all the amenities. I was here for just one night to catch the Hurtigruten ferry the next day. I enjoyed being able to walk easily to the city center and the ferry terminal in just a few minutes. The staff was helpful and friendly. Although I checked out before breakfast, the hotel packed me a couple of nice sandwiches to take with me. I would stay here again if I'm ever back in Bodo.
The hotel is an easy walk from the train station and in a great location on the waterfront. We were lucky enough to have amazing views out across the harbour towards the surrounding islands and of the shifting weather patterns as they moved through. Having a good restaurant on the top floor was great and also the bar there with the balconies and views. There was a good selection of food choices for breakfast.
Very friendly staff who prepared a to-go breakfast for us, as we had to check out very early the next morning. The hotel provides guests with waffles and soups in the evening for free in the small lounge area. Our room was fairly small, but comfortable and quiet. Nice location close to the commercial areas at the harbor in Bodo, and walkable to the airport in about 10-15 minutes.
New hotel, next to the train station and conveniently located for city centre restaurants and other attractions. Place was clean and wifi worked very well, as did TV etc. Hotel had decent focus on sustainability and recycling. Good shower pressure. Not sure if the jazz group playing was a one-off but they were great!
Wonderful stay at this hotel. Loved the room with distant view of the mountains and next to the river/fjord. Fantastic room with great shower and exceptional breakfast. Great location to trains and walking around town. Loved the comfortable lounge and bar area with fireplace downstairs for relaxing.
Breakfast was superb, with excellent varieties.
Location is in the centre and very close to the airport. Also, it is easily reachable via walk to restaurants, bars, and shops. There is also a convenience store right at the front entrance of the hotel that offers hot foods, coffee, and snacks.
This hostel felt like a hotel in terms of cleanliness and quality of stay - very impressed!
Additionally, the staff were amazingly helpful, and we really appreciated being able to stay in the kitchen area a few hours after checkout while waiting for our flight.
Perfect location: very close to train station and Hurtigruten dock (walking distance) and at the same time in the downtown area. Friendly staff, nice and clean rooms, excellent breakfast buffet and good restaurant. We can recommend this hotel.
Nice modern hotel, good-sized rooms. Easy walk to and from bus stop to take the bus to and from the Bodo airport. Bodo is small, so everything is easily accessible from the hotel. Excellent stay to break the journey between Islo and Lofoten.
Food. Dinners are nice and fika in the afternoon was amazing! I especially loved the lift - doors close immediately when you press the button of your floor. (Normally I am annoyed by slow lifts in hotels.)
Cosy family-run hotel close to city centre. Spacious room, comfortable bed and reasonable view! Good Norwegian breakfast and very close to bus stops and other facilities.
