Mythic Suites & Villas, hotel in Grand Gaube

Boasting a patio with garden views, a fitness centre and free bikes, Mythic Suites & Villas can be found in Grand Gaube, close to Grand Gaube Beach and 1.3 km from LUX Grand Gaube Hidden Beach.

Can not ask better as this second time in Mauritius and a luxury suit. The only critic was no air conditioning in the setting room, which is a pity. The owner bought it for 65 million rupees but could not afford air conditioning, but we were told that only one of the suits has it.

Mauricia Beachcomber Resort & Spa, hotel in Grand Gaube

Situated in Grand Baie, Mauricia Beachcomber Resort & Spa opens onto the beach and overlooks the bay. It is within walking distance of shopping centres, restaurants, bars, nightlife and casinos.

We enjoyed everything in this resort... from the time we entered, our concierge, Krishna, was absolutely amazing, he saw to every need or answered every question we had. He made us feel right at home. The standard beachfront room we booked does have a view of the bay, but like in all resorts, it is not unobstructed views. The room it's self was just like in the pictures, very neat, clean, comfortable and was cleaned daily. We also had the all inclusive package, so it was buffets for breakfast, lunch and supper, were it was a different variety each day, and tasted amazing. The facilities and the hotel itself was very well maintained and always clean. There was also excellent entertainment each and every day by the bravo team. The whole team ensured that there were activities to do from morning to night, especially for kids, but for me personally, Gabrielle and Julian were the stand out guys who always stopped to have a chat and made us enjoy our stay even more. The water sports if in the all inclusive includes the glass bottom boat, unlimited water ski, even for beginners, pedal boats, kayaking and if I am not mistaken snorkeling. The staff of Mauricia was also amazing from the waiters to the chefs, to the receptionists whom all made us feel at home. We would definitely book here again.

Hôtel 20 Degrés Sud - Relais & Châteaux, hotel in Grand Gaube

Discover an intimate 5-star boutique hotel and the only Relais & Châteaux property in Mauritius! Nestled behind a grand oak carriage door in a former coconut grove along the lagoon.

Beautiful relaxing hotel in the very north of the island. We really enjoyed the relaxing courtyard, delicious dinners, fresh breakfasts and afternoon tea with cake. There is a small but very nice hammam you can book. The service is great, very accomodating and attentive.

Grand Gaube is rather quiet and not a fancy place.

Grand Gaube is rather quiet and not a fancy place. Not too much bars or restaurants . To be honest, only one was open :). Suits perfectly to those who prefer to spend time and relax in villa, not in some noisy bar.

    The good : beautiful property.

The good : beautiful property. The attention to detail with their architecture , interior design and landscaping is brilliant. Amazing food and service at Inti (Peruvian restaurant) , a must try. Pricy but worth it. Beautiful views from the rooms. Very comfortable rooms and stunning bathrooms. Nespresso machine in the rooms was a nice touch. The not so good : check in was chaotic. No one approached to ask if we were checking in. We had to look for someone. The whole process took too long and we weren’t even offered a welcome drink. The reception is painfully understaffed. Concierge took ages to bring our suitcases to the rooms. Breakfast was good but the service was not 5 star. Aimless waiters , lifting crockery without trays , tables without cutlery or salt & pepper grinders , coffee sometimes took ages to come. Hot items at the breakfast buffet were always cold. We wanted to use the bath tub but water was tepid at best - even in the shower the water was never hot. Mini bar wasn’t cooling properly. We asked for it to be checked but this wasn’t done. The beach around the hotel is artificial and the lagoon isn’t the prettiest in Mauritius. Palm court bar had very slow and haphazard service. Dirty tables and chairs. Some cocktails were watered down. The hotel should have better uniforms for the staff - they were dressed in what looked like hospital scrubs - some waiters wore trainers - it looked too casual for a 5 star resort. Lots of room for improvement.

If U want to live a paradisiac experience in Mauritius, LUX*...

If U want to live a paradisiac experience in Mauritius, LUX* is the perfect place to be. The magic begins as soon as U place ur first step at the entrance as U are welcomed by the Sea & Sun shining brightly in front of U. I felt like a Star when i got down of my car as i had 5 people who came to welcome me. I panicked but it was so touched. The Staff are amazing & adorable people be it at the reception or restaurants. Thanks a lot to Jaya who took me for a visit and guide as we walked to my room. I also thank Sandeep, Yogesh, Allison and others for their on spot service and the warmth that they provide until your very much last step out of the hotel will leave you in tears and sadness. Food and desserts are heavenly bites. The sea, facilities, clean environment, fresh smell are admirable and pleasant. What is even more surprising is that on one side of the hotel the weather is warm & cool and on the other side it is windy & cold. Amazed to visit a hotel with an indoor and outdoor cinema, a salon, a tree wish, a wonderful library and a huge gym. Tree of Wishes is a heart touching concept. The Tree has been adorned with so much Love. My eyes were teary as i read so many wishes. My favourite spot is LOVE. LUX* just has a combination of anything U would want for a perfect holiday! And LUX* pampers U with gifts. Thank U LUX* ❣
