We stayed here for a few days. The owner was nice and helpful, prepared tasty local dishes for us. Also helped us to organize Tuk tuk for a Sygiria trip and to Dambulla. They have a wonderful garden with local trees like (mango, king coconut, avocado, jackfruit, etc). We really liked there, it felt like home:)

Hotel Kiyara exceeded all my expectations during my recent stay in Amritsar. Its proximity to the Golden Temple is unbeatable, making it a perfect choice for anyone visiting this iconic landmark.
The host's warm hospitality was one of the highlights of my stay. They went out of their way to ensure my comfort and were always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests. Their kindness and attentiveness truly made me feel at home.
In today's connected world, a reliable Wi-Fi connection is essential, and Hotel Kiyara delivered on this front. I had no issues staying connected, which was crucial for both work and leisure.
Now, let's talk about the food – it was simply fantastic! The hotel's restaurant served mouthwatering dishes that showcased the rich flavors of Punjabi cuisine. From traditional curries to delectable desserts, every meal was a delight.
In conclusion, Hotel Kiyara is a top-notch choice for your stay in Amritsar. Its unbeatable location, kind host, excellent Wi-Fi, and delicious food make it a standout option. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable experience near the Golden Temple.

EVERYTHING - This is not just a stay, it's an experience never to be forgotten.
Embarking on the Eco Village journey felt like entering a tranquil time capsule. Rocky Mountain views painted a picturesque backdrop as we traversed fields on the road to nostalgia. Mr. Kasun, the maestro of operations, warmly greeted us during check-in, creating a symphony of hospitality that lingered throughout our stay. The top-floor wood cabin surprised us with its elegant decor, and my wife and Mr. Kasun had conspired to orchestrate a delightful birthday cake.
As we roamed the property, we discovered a magical world filled with unexpected mango offerings and nostalgic swings and hammocks. The day was punctuated by the melody of freshly brewed milk tea, leading us to an eagerly awaited Bullock Cart ride down memory lanes. The evening sky painted itself in hues of enchantment as we indulged in a dinner masterpiece of Sri Lankan delights, served in a traditional setting.
As the moon cast its cozy spell, we surrendered to the embrace of plush beds and a gentle night breeze, foreshadowing the enchanting overture of morning tea awaiting us. In the garden, a breakfast symphony unfolded, starring a tantalizing ensemble of traditional rice and curry—a culinary masterpiece that gracefully ushered in the perfect dawn.
Exploring the city and reluctantly packing our bags, bidding goodbyes became a bittersweet melody. In conclusion, the Eco Village is a portal to serenity and tradition, offering a calm haven with a touch of magic. I wholeheartedly recommend this enchanting abode to anyone seeking a timeless tale of relaxation.
Kudos to Mr. Kasun & the team! I'm already anticipating the next chapter in this unforgettable journey.

All the sites were wonderful - Sigiriya (the rock), Dambulla Caves (Amazing - especially cave #2), Polonnaruwa (Ancient City), Elephant Safari saw 40 to 50 elephants - Mothers and their children on a ridge at the very end of the safari! It was a great day to be able to see that many in the game reserve all together. I would spend minimum 3 but really 4 nights up here as the travel day really doesn't count because you aren't running out to see anything until the next day, so this way you have 3 full days to see all the sites and it isn't rushed. Also, you go out early in the morning as it gets too bloody hot in the middle of the day.

Dambulla is a great place to explore, especially if you are a nature lover. Lots of greenery is preserved amidst the cave temples. Frescos at the Dambulla cave temple are amazingly beautiful. Inside the caves are cold though the outside temperature is steaming hot in the summer.
Sigiriya rock is another attraction near Dambulla. It will take a half a day tour to climb up and down but if you want to explore more, the area surrounding the Sigiriya rock garden is vast and can wonder around the rock garden and historical ruins for hours. Good for hikers.
Ibbankatuwa ancient grave yard, Pidurangala (A rock with nice view at the top, situated parallel to Sigiriya Rock are some of other nearby attractions.

First of all we would like to thank the owner and the management for giving us the opportunity to stay at this beautiful resort.
Colin and Ajit did a wonderful job of looking after us
They are hard working, sincere and committed in their work.
Few things that need to be sorted out were the overgrown creeper in the front which is preventing sunlight from entering the front of the house.
Lighting in the room and bathroom need to be brighter. A stronger Wi-Fi would be welcome
Overall an enjoyable stay
Hope to visit again

I was there for two days and the only place we actually enjoyed was sigirya/pidurungala rock which are not even in a city. Tuk tuk drivers are scamming tourist like crazy and there is almost no sidewalk so it makes it very hard or impossible to walk. The golden temple is good to see but I wouldn’t go back. Overall I wouldn’t go back there. I saw it once and that is more than enough. Please note that if places in dambulla carry some religous meaning to you than your opinion might differ.

A centrally located tourist friendly town.
A centrally located tourist friendly town. 65 Km from Anuradhapura, 16 km from Sigiria and Pedurangala, 110 km from Kandy and 65 km from Polonnaruva. Cave temple and golden temples are the main local attractions while nearby Sigiria and Pedurangala provide more adventure, in terms of climbing and view at the top. Plenty of places to eat local food for your taste, just say what and how you like it they will make it. Best places for a rice and curry lunch is on the main roads leading in to town, just outside of town. They serve lunch from noon to two in the afternoon.
This place located in the calm and picturesque part of Dambulla, but close to two main sightseens of the town. The territory is very green and clean and the room was also very cosy and nice. Food was very delicious: every morning it was very interesting to try new dishes of local cuisine, dinners was also really good! But of course the main gem of this place is the family that runs the hotel: they are very friendly, surround you with an atmosphere of care and are ready to help in anything.
A very generously proportioned room, very clean with a fridge and a large balcony. Nice, helpful staff. The hotel is in the centre of Dambulla so it is easy to acquire taxi’s etc. to take you to all of the attractions at a fairly low cost. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel for the budget traveller. The bus stop is right outside the hotel. You can also easily get a tuktuk to nice restaurants on the outskirts of the city, the bakery below the hotel is also nice.
I had a horrendous experience with a hotel booked through Booking.com. Despite booking in advance, upon arrival, the hotel was filthy and severely lacking in amenities. The staff were incredibly unfriendly, and to add insult to injury, they suggested we switch rooms to a different hotel altogether. It was beyond frustrating and a complete disappointment. I urge others to steer clear of this irresponsible establishment. Absolutely not worth the hassle or the money.
Perfect place to stay for a few days to explore Dambulla, Sigiyira, go on a safari and polonnaruwa. Booked one night and stayed 3. The breakfast is huge, Sri Lankan and tasty. Good outside but covered hangout place to chill and mingle with other guests. Owner is super friendly, helpful with planning day trips and always willing to help out in whichever way possible. Definitely stay here, unpack a bit and then enjoy the cultural triangle with day trips from here.
We booked Tropical Life very last minute for 1 night and we are so glad we did - it's been the best hotel we've stayed in so far on our Sri Lanka trip! It's excellent value for money, with a lovely pool (which we had sandwiches and chips round!) and rooms with a stunning view. The staff are great and were helpful in organising taxis. The gym is an added bonus! We've already recommended the hotel to others and will continue to do so. Thanks!
Definitely our favorite hotel we stayed at in Sri Lanka so far. We got a free room upgrade to a really nice room with balcony and garden/pool view, which was really nice. The pool was very nice and the traditional Sri Lankan breakfast/lunch was amazing!! Ashen and everyone who works at the hotel were really nice to us and helpful and made sure we had the best stay! Thank you! Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Dambulla.
Perfect for people looking for quiet and peaceful place to stay. If you prefer non traditional big hotels this is the perfect place to stay! The owners were hospitable and always checking to see if everything is provided. Our initial plan is 2 days only but we extend extra day to relax. Also money for value with breakfast included. Madhu cooks very nice and clean food for breakfast and dinner as well.
We had a pleasant stay at your hotel, for breakfast they serve fabulous sri lankan food and its very tasty,
Pool is quite clean, room was very spacious and comforty,
Staff is very friendly and they gave us full service very fast and that's appreciated.
Thank you for your hospitality, in advance I would like to recommend this resort to everyone for those who like to stay liberty
My stay at Lake Island Home Stay in Dambulla was nothing short of magical. From the moment I arrived until the day I reluctantly departed, I was immersed in a paradise of tranquility and natural beauty. This charming homestay is a hidden gem that offers an authentic Sri Lankan experience like no other.
The host picked us up at the bus station (300 LKR)
He suggested a great sunset place and booked us a great tuktuk driver for our 2 days in Dambulla. He gave us an umbrella and provided a knife and cutting board to prepare our fruits.
Breakfast was ok.
The bedsheets, bathroom and room were clean.
The hotel is in.the forest, far from everything with a lake nearby. It is calm and relaxing, we got a great experience there. Unfortunatly the rain prevented us to enjoy thr swimming pool as we wanted.
The staff is really nice and helpfull.
The food was fair, the breakfast was excellent
Clean rooms, tasty Sri Lankan food and a nice pool to relax from the sightseeings in Dambulla and region around. Manager/owner was very helpful in helping us with advice on what to do and arranging taxi/tuktuk services. Plus we were shown a "sunset point" on one of the hills nearby."
We had a lovely stay at the hotel, with the owners being so kind and friendly. We had the most wonderful sri Lankan breakfast served to us - the taste was just wonderful - with good local spicing!
The rooms were very nice and clean and the staff friendly and always available!
The pool was a big plus and the location great in Dambulla. We spent three nights and totally recommend this hotel!
Super modern and clean. High ceilings make it feel very spacious. Awesome waterfall shower. Location is perfect . Very quiet and safe neighborhood. the hotel staff was attentive & courteous.
the location and facilities are amazing, very well-maintained hotel in the middle of the nature.
The dinner and breakfast were so delicious with big variety of food and drinks.
Amazing hotel, one of the best in Sri Lanka ❤️Modern, clean, beautiful. Beautiful area inside. Tasty buffet dinner for 3800 LKR / person. Really long and clean swimming pool.
This hotel is in a very nice setting and convenient location for sigyria and Dambulla caves. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were very comfortable.
The room is very spacious and clean, hotel has got a chill vibe. we had good sleep on the big bed. Breakfast was very good, in general quite good value in Dumbulla.
