Beautiful costal city.
Beautiful costal city. Bigger city looses some of the charm of the smaller sea side towns along the coast, but has all the extra amenities a city can provide. We only had 1 day-would have loved one full day more. Much to do and explore and the area is amazingly beautiful. I would definitely return. Very romantic places.

We were positively surprised over Kaike-onsen.
We were positively surprised over Kaike-onsen. It´s a small village, however, very close to the sandy beach, and restaurants in walking distance. We used the bus from Yonago station to kaike onsen, and paid approximately 800 JPY for a family of four. It took approximately 15 minutes. From Yonago station, you can go by train (JR line, so you can use the Japanese railpass) to Tottori. It´s a perfect daytrip to the sanddunes and the Sandmuseum!
It´s also close to Adachi Museum of Art. Adachi Museum of Art earned the top rating of three stars in Michelin Green Guide Japan because of its elegance. It is honored as Japans #1 garden by the journal of Japanese gardening for 16th consecutive year! It´s absolutely amazing! We took the JR line from Yonago to JR Yasugi (we used the railpass). From there there is a Free shuttle bus to the museum.
When we traveled there ( it was during the horrible coronavirus world war terror, when tourism was too dangerous but the big shopping malls were packed of people any single day ), the place was newly renovated. Anything was ready to make the stay comfortable, laundry, kitchen, i didn't find anything they could forget. I can only hope we will see one day the real meaning of competition to become reality again : bad hotels will disappear and good ones will be few to shine in the future.
Couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay in Yonago. It was centrally located and is roughly 10 minutes walk from Yonago Station, which was great for us as we needed to board the bus for Mt Daisen early. Mika the owner of the guesthouse was a super host and was very helpful in assisting us with all our needs. We were lucky as there were no other guests staying during the time we were there. It exceeded all our expectations and we would highly recommend it for anyone visiting Yonago.
There is no onsen in this hotel, we went there one year ago. And for covid reasons, the onsen bath was out of order. This time, October 2022, we stayed 5 nights, the hotel was fully booked every night, and still... no onsen ! Actually, it was my main purpose to stay in this hotel, I saw they were advertising everywhere as " onsen hotel " on google map, hotel sites, everywhere, but once check in... no onsen ! so next time i ll book another place.
The property was amazing. I was stunned with how spacious the room was. The hotel is right on the beach as well, so my room window had a perfect view of the ocean. There are two restaurants right in the hotel that I went to for dinner each night. The food was delicious. Each morning and evening the onsen a changed and each had amazing views.
Hotel was only a 5 minute walk from the train station and car rental places. Close to shopping areas so there was plenty of places close by to get something to eat.
Rooms were large and clean. Beds were comfortable and there was space to put suitcases so they were out of your way.
Can not use the hotel public baths if you have tattoos.
Location - opposite of the bus station (which departs from JR Yonago station) and nearby the beach/restaurants.
Room Size - fairly large (Japanese-style room) and equipped with your standard facilities such as fridge, kettle, welcome tea and snacks.
Great hotel! The buffet breakfast was healthy and yummy, in-house onsen for you to unwind after a long day, convenient location right across the station. Keyless system was also more convenient than traditional card keys.
It's an old hotel outside of Yonago. The best parts are the sauna, the large bed and the latest movies on TV. The bath and the room are quite large as well. I was surprised by the wide choice of hair styling tools.
The guesthouse is clean and cozy. Also the interior looks very nice! The owner is a very friendly person, he gave me many tips where to go in yonago. I enjoyed my stay a lot and are looking forward to come again.
Spacious capsule and personal space, very helpful staff, great facilities (including its own sento/onsen upstairs), relaxing atmosphere, good location for Yonago town centre, short bus to the onsen area/beach.
The Hotel is in a good location, right in front of the Yonago Station. Onsen was small but good. The products provided at the onsen were of superior quality. Breakfast was really good with a lot of variety.
Location was great, next door to large supermarket and close to restaurants. Room very comfortable and bonus having parking. Lovely hotel for exploring the region. Would definitely stay here again!
