The location is close to a few of the local towns and there is a swimming pool (wasn’t open while we were there but it looked great for kids, shallow at the edges and big enough to play in.) The room (apartment) is huge, two double bedrooms and a nice sized bathroom and living area)

very good location, panoramic view of the city, mountains. Rooms are very comfortable and clean, good breakfast, very tasty coffee. You can order lunch - it was inrcedible, we ordered it every day during our stay, I recommend. Incredibly responsive and kind hosts, left a very pleasant impression of the stay.

The room was just in front of the train that was very convenient. It was big, comfortable, quiet and very clean. But the best thing was the politeness and sense of humanity of the hosts. My train had a 40 minutes delay and I also missed my stop. The hosts offered to come and pick me up from the next stop 20km away, at night. I will never forget that.

Scalea is a historic town, so besides the beach and the sun you can also discover its historical charm. The town is rugged. Don't be afraid of gentle hills ( almost all towns in Italy are like this).

Lovely beach town with good restaurants. la Piazzaetta is a favorite of the locals who entertained us on open-mike night. Antica Trattoria a Taverna is a long walk uphill to the old town. We had half liter of vino bianco locale with the shared special antipasti served with bread which was very filling. The pasta dishes that followed were delicious but we should have shared that too. Best not to visit Scalea in July or August when it is very crowded. We visited in mid-September and had a very nice time.

Scalea is a warm and friendly town.
Scalea is a warm and friendly town. The restaurants are abundant and serve outstanding Calabrian cuisine. The beaches are some of the most beautiful in the world. If you are traveling with a young family, there is much to do...not to mention how safe Scalea feels.

The historic district is like stepping back in time - ancient homes and pathways...and lots of stairs to climb. Not for those with difficulty walking. The downtown area and beaches offer plenty of places to stop for a cappuccino and something sweet, a quick pizza or a delicious extended meal.

Lovely old town.
Lovely old town. The old historical part of the town offers a lot more character & charm than the beach front boardwalk (which was often dirty and rubbish not collected). Definitely worth walking up to the old Castle for the view. Great restaurants in the old town Il Tari and La Rondinella.
1. Great location, 5 minutes from a very decent beach
2. Cozy flat and furniture, very pleasant stay and wonderful evenings with a glass of wine on the balcony. We liked overall marine Italian style of the flat
3. AC and dishwasher, this is really cool, saves time and adds comfort
4. It's really easy to get the fresh air, when you open all the windows the whole flat breathes instantly
5. The building itself in a good state comparing to a lot of old buildings in Scalea
6. Owner was very polite and answered all the questions really quickly
Beautiful location, on the top of the hill and right in the middle of the historical part of the city. The view from the balcony is just amazing. The apartment is very comfortable, clean and of good taste. Very romantic place, perfect for couples. The facility provides everything one needs and the management is really friendly. I strongly recommend it for whoever visits the beautiful city of Scalea! I totally want to return here.
This cute apartment was the perfect set up for my friend and I. We stayed in the Francesca apartment upstairs. Two bedrooms, two baths, sitting room, kitchen with all the necessary equipment and full size refrigerator. two balconies and a washer. Walking distance from the area of old Scalea and a grocery store. Parking available. Francesca was oiut of town but was available by text and phone for any questions we had.
The hotel is located near all what we need to enjoy our trip such as the beach, nice restaurants, stores, supermarket, etc, the historical center is located 2 blocks from the hotel. The room is confortable and so quiet so we can rest. Francesco is a nice host, always trying to help us out with what we need. We will come back with our family on vacations.
Breakfast was average, no better than having a coffee and croissant at a bar.
The location was particularly bad, the hotel is on the main road linking North to South Calabria. Access to the beach was either by crossing this busy road or going through a disgusting underpass walking by a stagnant river. The swimming pool was nothing like the picture.
Unbelivable host, beautiful and special location. The owner, Biagio Cavalliere, was very helpfull and open, giving us the recomandations about the beaches, restaurants and the history of the old beautiful city Scalea…Really nice italian breakfast…In the end, we had the feeling that we were not just tourists, but friends!
Grazie mille, Biagio!
Location! Right between the beautiful, stony beach (sounds awful but it’s actually really nice) and the cute strip where I think mostly locals go. And between the hotel and the beach is another big strip with more hotels, so I think the more touristed area. Private balcony. Cute shared terrace. Owner is really nice. Great Wi-Fi connection.
We had a really great experience! The staff were so kind, welcoming and accommodating. They went above and beyond the standard to make sure we were comfortable and had a great trip in Scalea. The location was great, the room was nice and air conditioned and comfortable. Breakfast was good.
Very clean and comfortable, Hosts are helpful in any regard. Breakfast far above Italian standard. We’ve been serveral times in Scalea, this was by far the BEST. Location above the coast. 15 min to the beach, Hosts offering transportation. Thanks very much Thomas from Stuttgart Germany
Nice and modern with 2 large windows. Nice large wrap around balcony with a thing to dry your clothes. On the zero floor - just 5 steps up and you’re there. Perfect place if you have many luggages. Beach is very close.
The owner is amazing. Very nice guy. Welcoming everyone with the big smile on his face. Very nice rooms in high standard. B&B located in the best spot in whole Scalea. Clean, good breakfast. Vittorio thank you.
The room was very nice and quite big, very good bathroom. The location is excellent for the centre of Scalea, but also very quiet. The staff were nice, very helpful when I arrived early.
Steffi is the most lovely person in hole Scalea.
I always stay at her place when I´m in Scalea.
So I can highly recommended this place.
You can´t find anything better in Scalea!!!
