The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable for a family with two children. The receptionist was very kind and communication was easy. Breakfast was aromatic coffee and delicious croissants. Avola is a pleasant town.
Avola is a pleasant town. There is plenty to see near by that can be reached by bus or car, Syracuse and Noto being the highlights. We hired a small boat from the harbour with a skipper and had the most a fabulous day out!

Avola is a great city for food and culture. The people of Avola are very nice and helpful. Avola is within minutes of the town of Noto and other cities as well as other destinations such as Marzamemi and Pachino.

Avola is a nice town near the sea: famous for its almonds, honey and wine, it has some baroque feeling to it, though not as much as Scicli for instance. It is a near-perfect base to visit Syracusae, the beaches of Noto or the town of Modica: all within reach from 20 minutes to 1 hour, but it can also be a relaxing place in itself. A recommendation would be to visit "Bar Pasticceria Mangiafico" in town, that since 1972 delivers quality in pastries and sicilian street food! On the side of warnings, it needs to be said that the old town has very narrow roads, and getting around by car requires some driving skills.

In future I would stay in Noto or another city in Sicily Avola seems like a ghost town in peak summer times No good restaurants, no bars and nothing seems to be happening. The hydrotherapy shower was wonderful as well! Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. There's a lovely sandy beach opposite, with a brilliant beach bar serving coffees, cocktails and lunches. There was also a lifeguard on duty. Avola was a pleasant location. Not too touristy but enough bars and restaurants to offer some choice. The property has a reception hall with lots of beautiful plants, a large breakfast area and a nice swimming pool, making the place look like a little paradise inside Avola.
