The woman in the reception of guesthouse Gerdi, where I checked in, was really nice and drew me a map of how to find the Old cottage. Unfortunately, it was still a little unclear how to find the right house. Once I'd found it, it gave a really good impression when I first entered the building. It was clean and looked fresh and the room was also very clean and inviting. The only thing I didn't really like was the rugged old chair from the 80'ies in the room, they'd do themselves a service if they threw it out. The room was a sauna when I opened the door, but I could adjust the settings on the radiator. I had two bathrooms across the hall and I didn't experience any problems getting access to either of them.

Absolutely stunning location, very clean and has everything you can possibly need. Very friendly and helpful staff that gave excellent directions to the cottage. Great internet connection Had a morning coffee on the terrace and had a pleasure of watching a reindeer walk by.

Huge room on the first floor, with a great view to the front of the hotel. Great beds, really comfortable. Very nice restaurant with enough options, good breakfast.

Very good place for overnight. Self check-in as usually in Iceland, so contact only by email but very good one. Comfortable beds. Decent breakfast, but I would prefer more vegetables.

Nice space for a family of four. For four adults I think it would be cramped. Kitchen is good, shower also. Hotel in 10 mins drive for breakfast/dinner. Reasonable price. Very beautiful surroundings.

It's close to the diamond beach and the kitchen is properly equipped. The structure looks quite basic, including rooms, but beds are comfortable: for one night is completely fine.

Recommend this place so much! Very helpful owner and delicious breakfast, homemade cake in the morning :) Place is very good located if you want to go to the glacier tour.
