It's nice complex on the end of the dead end street on a hill so from each room you can see the lake Balaton. Our room was quite big with comfy beds and the morning lights coming in, which was nice (there are blankets if you want to sleep till noon:-) Women in the reception was very nice and helpful. We rented a bike and went around, to the center of Tihany it is 10min max, lake Belso 5min. (There are plenty of small funny animals groundhog and huge cows)
Breakfast was normal, nothing special, chees, ham, bread, yougurt...normal.
There is indoor pool with the outside area for sitting.

Beautiful excursion place - Hungarian Provence. I recommend visiting outside the main tourist season. The prices are higher, but the place offers an excellent starting point for walking, cycling or car tourism around Lake Balaton.Michal_1977Czech Republic - 10Scored 10
The town is small and quiet-ish.
The town is small and quiet-ish. There are some nice hikes worth taking, especially at sunset. (check the Guard Tower Area and the ) Not sure if it's all year round, but in September many of the restaurants and terraces were closing at 18:00 local time. You can take the long route north to get to Tihany, but the ferry is faster and not that expensive (in 2023 about 10 EUR for 1 car + 1 person).

It is a little town but you can entertain yourself for 2-3 days easily. Many restaurants with a great food offers. All is about lavender products: soaps, perfumes, beer, ice cream... Very interesting. Kecskeköröm Csárda with live traditional music, Tihany Retro Pizzeria, Lavender Garden Tihany and Gulyás udvar Étterem are restaurants to recommend. Kilometers of cycling trails. The village is quaint with many restaurants and those attempted were of a high standard Access to the village without a car is a little awkward although during 0900 to 1800 a motorised train with about six small carriages operates at about 20 minute intervals. There are a number of souvenir type shops and lavender and lavendula is in abundance.

A town with a character, a small gem. There is a good variety of activities, cultural events, sights and a lot of good food. It is also a souvenir heaven! Lavender in every shape, form and amount, galleries, history, walks, hikes, horses, sheep and cattle, olden days artefacts, good food and a lot of it, kind people.

Beautiful old village, full of character, fantastic views. Easy to cykle along the lake.The place is famous for lavender, one must try local food, e.g. lavender ice cream, goulash, local beer or wine. There is an old Abbey on the top of the hill, not so far local wineyards. Above all people are so friendly and relaxed.

Close to Rege coffee and Echo restaurant which I would recommend visiting. Parking is good at the property. Property was very clean and quiet. Hosts were absolutely lovely, chatty and helpful. The breakfast was so delicious in comparison to other 4 hotels we stayed at. Will definitely be back. Don't forget to visit Balaton, lavender field and do some karting. Breakfast was very good with plenty of selections, for dinner we had to choose between two offerings but was acceptable for the price. Dinner was also available a la carte. The hotel is very quiet, room was clean, good parking, we enjoyed the nice private beach and the the patio with a beautiful lake view (sunrise is spectacular from the beach). The location is super safe, quiet with beautiful villas. The spa in the resort is great when the weather is not the best. It’s around 15 minutes walk to the Tihani town with shops and restaurants. Coming with friends, all ladies, we very much appreciated the two bathrooms ;) Will definitely be back.

There are a couple restaurants in walking distance. If you don’t have a car, it’s about a 25min walk to the center of Tihany where you can find plenty of places to eat and a couple small stores to buy groceries.
