Neighbouring Opatija is Rijeka, Croatia’s historic and principal seaport town and a popular spot for a day trip. Rijeka’s most famous landmarks are the Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral and the 13th-century Trsat Castle, which offers magnificent city and coastal views.

This place is so nice and beautiful. And Lungomare walk is something incredible! I wish we had more time to explore the city or simply get lost there. Then visit the museums and admire historical villas, check out nice shops with souvenirs, spent more time just sitting and observing the sea in one of the cozy cafes at the seaside.

It’s a beautiful city with lots of Austrian style influenced buildings. I would not recommend it during the summer because for swimming in the sea it is not the best place to go to, as there are not really nice beaches. But for off season it is very nice.

Tourist Hotspot so most cafés/restaurants/bars are overpriced, often ridiculously so for the level of service. Also too crowded, even in off season. One exception: Pizzeria Roko, go eat there!

Well Opatia is an old tourist town.
Well Opatia is an old tourist town. It does show its age and set of problems like all tourist towns. But still retains its charm and different eras that build it.
A wonderful place to walk enjoy coffee on some terrace or a perfect sea food meal.
A smart home base point for wider exploration of Kvarner region, its hills and mountains as its islands.

Opatija is the Monaco of Isrtria.
Opatija is the Monaco of Isrtria. Beutiful city with nice beaches. It worth to visit Medveja beach, and Moscenicka Draga beach as well, the water is more clean than the main beaches in Opatija.
For food and beverage, I suggest to try Cafe Imperial, Roko, but the absolut winner is Valle Losca Tavern, where you can have the most delicious dinner in Opatija. Both of them, they need reservation!
If you are looking for an active nightlife with parties, I do not recommend, there was only two bars, Summer Garden (close at 12PM, 1AM on Friday Saturday), and Colosseum Beach Bar, but they also close at 1AM. Pula, Crikvenica, or Porec can be better options for partying.
We can not recommend the place more. Friend of mine had a birthday on the day of the arrival. Valentina from the reception arranged everything, when I asked for a small present for my friend. The nice surprise came it was a birthday cake and the bottle of the sparkling wine. Wanted to pay for it of course. Hotel didn't asked fo anything. The staff was always a step ahead, they arranged everything in advance, from the parking tip to prolonged check out. Thank you Valentina and hotel staff again for the great stay. 20 out of 10 😁👍
So much in love at Opatia :D
The host are super kind and helpful.
Thanks for greeting drinks and help us to booking the boat day trip.
.
The studio is so clean, well equipment and all facilities that made us feel home.
The terrace is our favoirite area, all for sun bath, drink, eat and admired the fatastic view.
.
The private parking is really convenient and where the studio lacated is also good for a walking distance for a grocery and restaurant.
It's our first time in Opatia and really looking forward for next time : )
Our recent stay at Apartment Mira was great. The location was superb, offering a really beautiful balcony view. The added benefit of free parking space made our stay in Opatija hassle-free.
The hosts were exceptional. Their warm hospitality and thoughtful gestures made us feel incredibly welcome. Upon our arrival, we were delighted to find cold drinks waiting for us, which was an absolute treat on a scorching summer day. We highly recommend it and would love to visit again in the future.
Our host was extremely kind, the communication went smoothly. We got a bottle of fine wine as a present, and also some delicious fruits. The location is good, not noisy at all. This flat is the most equipped apartment, I have ever stayed in - during a holiday. Parking place is a huge advantage!
We went to the Medveja Beach to swim (by car), because in Opatija we haven't found big beaches. But the apartment is really close to the downtown.
The hotel is a very modern hotel in a not so modern area of Croatia. The staff is very nice and friendly and tries their best to accomodate you. Parking is available for reasonable prices directly at the property. The walkway next to the ocean is right in front of the hotel. The room we stayed in was very quite since it was facing the ocean. I don't think that there are any land facing rooms in this property.
Nothing to dislike, amazing location in the centre of Opatija, the room was perfectly clean and comfortable and the hosts are super kind and friendly, Croatian hospitality at its best. Just take care to not be as stupid as I was and accidentally walk into the neighbours’ house when you are looking for the place! I will definitely stay here if I visit Opatija again :)
The location of the hotel is perfect, with stunning sea views from the rooms, creating a serene and tranquil atmosphere for your stay. The panoramic views of the city from the pool and spa area are simply breathtaking and add an extra layer of relaxation to your experience. You can take a dip in the pool or relax in the hot tub while enjoying the stunning views.
You can't be more downtown than at this location. The balcony had a view to the ocean (a little to the side). The apartment was very clean and equipped with everything you might need, the rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. Our host was super friendly, helped with our luggage and even assisted us booking transportation. Top notch.
The location is excellent, close to the beach in a quiet spot. The apartment is fully equipped with all necessary amenities and the host is highly responsive. Access to the property is easy and one has a parking place which matters a lot in Opatija. Thank you for a great stay
Nice hotel with a really nice location. Parking are available under a building at 2 min from the hotel for extra cost 23€/day. Indoor Swimming pool with sea water are accessible free of charge in the hotel next to lungomare. Nice staff service, really friendly!!
Opatija is beautiful, in particular architecture and Lungomare.
Hotel has a very good location, closer to the center than we expected. Parking was excellent in the hotel's garage. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options, available up to 11 o'clock.
The property is beautiful. On perfekt place with sea in front in stunning Opatija. The stuff is fantastic always smiling and very helpful. Excellent breakfast in the restaurant with beautiful sea view. Anyway must be place on Croatian coast
We liked the location.
We liked that our room was in a corner and it was very quiet.
We liked the cleanliness of our room as well as the hotel.
We loved the breakfast and the staff that were on hand if we needed anything.
Location on the water is amazing. Lovely beach at the foot of the hotel. Restaurant views are wonderful. Parking available. Perfect stay for our group of four.
Kind and professional staff.
Clean pool.
Versatile food options.
Location of hotel.
Magnificent seaside view of the whole Kvarner bay and city of Rijeka.
Beautiful hotel , breakfast is included . All the staff was so nice . They were very helpful , loved the location in the middle of beautiful city of Opatija
The room was beautiful and had a lovely terrace overlooking the sea. It was clean and the rest of the hotel is beautiful. Breakfast was also quite nice!
