Many vendors cannot understand “no”and follow us everywhere we we go nagging and nagging and very annoying. One followed us to our hotel another followed us to the restaurant.
The market is not all that as Antigua has a market and Guatamala City has central market with equal products and food. I found out they charge more on Thursdays and Sundays because of the tourists.
The local restaurants quality of food is terrible.
We ate at San Juan and Las Brasas
Not worth going to Chichicastenango.

The owner was very nice and engaging, and there's a very cute, sweet dog that stays in a box right in front of the hotel. The location was nice, close to the market and sites but a bit outside the action. It's a cute, small town, so it's easy to get around.
The room is basic and has everything you need.
It was a bit cold, but there were lots of blankets. The shower also had hot water and worked well.
The Internet was fine, but not great, so I used my phone data instead some of the time.
This is the best place to stay in town. It is centrally located and really is a museum of the town. The rooms are filled with antiques from all over the world. The dining rooms convey the past of the country. The bar was just right for a pre-dinner snack and drink. We enjoyed the honest simple breakfast and dinner. The employees are very knowledgeable about the history of the hotel.
The atmosphere of this old hotel was wonderful - I absolutely loved it! This hotel is a sanctuary right in the center of the busy town. with beautiful courtyards to sit and relax in the sun. They lit a fire in the room to take out the chill once the sun went down. The people were extremely helpful and friendly.
Breakfast is not free but very nice. Miguel is a super nice host and showed me the nicest taqueria in town, 2 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Comfy place, super cute decorations. I felt welcome there.
I was able to check in early before going to the market. The hotel is close to the market. Breakfast was good and the fresh bread was wonderful. Naturally there was fresh Guatemalan coffee and fruit.
What a beautiful, wonderful place to stay and so amazingly located with the market on the doorstep and the cemetery part of the view from the hotel and just a few minutes walk away.
Great location close to Chichicastenango market. Beautifully decorated hotel. Lovely and spacious hotel room with working fireplace. Friendly and helpful staff.
the location was good. we came to chichi for the market and we were a walking distance away. provided filtered water. bed was comfortable. host was very kind.
Restaurant at the hotel is excellent, breakfast was delicious. Rooms are new and beautiful and the park around the property is very peaceful. Nice hotel!
The hotel is very picturesque and well situated for the market in Chichicastenago. Friendly and attentive staff, clean rooms and lovely courtyard areas.
