Was my birthday and the thoughtful host upgraded our rooms and even had a birthday cake prepared for me! Beds were comfortable and breakfast spread of Greek and western hot/cold food was excellent. The common lounge had a fireplace lit and it felt like we stayed in a warm traditional Greek family home which came with 2 large dogs! Parking on the property was super convenient and great location with easy walk to lots of eateries, shops and supermarket nearby.
Hardly 200 metres away from the well known beach of Zacharo, lie the studios and apartments of Olympion Village. It offers free wireless internet.

We were greeted by a wonderful and friendly elderly lady who showed us the property - it was an enormous studio with a kitchenette and a balcony. New and nicely furnished, it had everything we needed.
For the given price it felt even a bit overwhelming :)
The beach is easily reachable by foot, just 2-3 minutes away.
It was nearly empty and had perfect sand and showers to rinse off.
A lot of parking space.
Located within 36 km of Temple of Zeus and 36 km of Ancient Olympia, Mina Apartments provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Zakharo.

Zakharo is a small village near the coast.
Zakharo is a small village near the coast. It has all the essentials (super markets, restaurants, coffee shops etc), so one can spend his stay there without the need to move to other places. However, there are no much activities you can do with the kids, so it would be wise to pick a hotel that offers kids activities. The beach is quite nice and sandy, however if the wind is Western, the waves will be high enough to prevent you from swimming. The food was really nice in almost all the restaurants we visited and the prices quite reasonable. If I would visit the broader area again I would choose to go to a place with beaches facing South, as western winds are the most common in there and create high waves to almost all beaches.

It's a convenient place to stay if you want to go to the sea, drive to some scenic roads and landscapes to the mountains or to ancient Olympia. The village itself it's not so nice but it' s not ugly either. My favorite restaurant: 'To Petrino'.

In June the beach was not crowded.
In June the beach was not crowded. The beach was a nice sandy beach and it was easy to swim and play in the water with kids. Close to the apartment was a lovely tavern and the town is also a walk away with more variety of services. It was easy to do day trips to ancient sites from Zacharo.
Spacious and comfortable stay. Eleni, our hostess, was very attentive to our needs. The house was equipped with everything (microwave, toaster, dish washer , washing machine, dryer, you name it). Salt , pepper , oregano , and oil were already in the cupboards, which are very helpful for short stays. I can not remember if we really missed something
The beaches are very close and Zacharo too. The garden is spacious with a huge area with grass. We could easily park two cars .Overall, we were happy to visit Villa Eleni.
A great place in a beautiful small town. We enjoyed visiting and learning more about the Grecian village life during our stay. It was a nice visit between touristy areas to experience village life. Close to many cafes, mini markets, restaurants, and the beach. Eleni and kakovatos studios is a hidden gem. She was there for everything we needed and made us feel like we were at home. This was our first time visiting Greece and we have been so welcomed here. I am looking forward to our next trip here.
The atmosphere of the hotel is very cozy. Nicely furnished and decorated. We were among the first guests of the season, so there was a slight issue with getting hot water pumped up to the third floor. But the staff had it fixed right away.
The big and wonderful surprise was the exceptional breakfast with an amazing selection of home made cakes and pies, four different ways to make coffee and a huge selection of good tea.
All the staff were very kind and helpful, and we had a great stay
The Rex Hotel was a delightful surprise. Wonderful, responsive host and staff who went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and relaxed as possible. The lavish breakfasts were amongst the best I've ever had. So many delicious, freshly made tarts, pies and cakes in addition to an extensive range of other high quality offerings make this hotel one of the more unique and special places my friends and I have stayed. We can't wait to go back.
Everything was perfect. Each room has a big terrace, the room itself is spacious enough and there is also a well-equipped kitchenette. The bathroom was good and of a decent size. A long sandy beach is just 3-minute walk from the Olympion studios. Great place for families with kids, but also perfect for middle-aged couples like us. This is our new best ever summer destination. For our next trip to Greece, we don't have to look for anything better.
The apartment was very clean and nicely decorated. There was plenty of space and a very large balcony to sit out on.
The bar/cafe was very reasonable and the staff friendly and efficient. Only issue was the noise level from the children playing in the area, not so relaxing.
There is a great garden area for the children to play so an ideal place if you have young children.
A few minutes walk to the fantastic Zacharo Beach.
The host was very friendly and attentive and the place is generally very homey. The hotel is a little old but extremely clean and well reserved. My single room was big and the bed was very comfortable.
Hot water 24/7 and even though I stayed off-season and they didn't have many other guests at the time, the hostess offered to serve breakfast just for me!
I would definitely recommend!
Don't expect a typical Booking.com place. It is a mixture of hotel, hostel and camping. All in and around Yiannis' house.
A wonderful place to relax and interact with other people at the same time. I wanted to stay two nights, but ended up staying four. Don't be afraid of the dogs, they are calm and will leave you alone.
The hotel is situated away from the busy streets, in the older part of the village. The view is fantastic and the evening breeze is welcome.
In front of the hotel on the town square is a small taverna serving excellent Greek food. No need to go very far.
The staff/owner was very friendly and accommodating.
Very nice hotel, run by a family which is keen to fullfill every wish if you ask them. Generous Appartment rooms with very comfortable beds. Nice pool facility and a very well equipped games room (with billiard, pingpong and more...) Breakfast was good too. Overall a very good experiance!
The hotel is really cozy, it feels more like a big family mansion. They do have some nice dogs and private parking and very tasty home cooked breakfast. Also received a very nice recommendation for dinner.
Great location for a relaxing stay, beach and sea are beautiful. Also a good base for visiting Olympia. Lovely hotel, sea view from balcony. Breakfast was great as well.
The staff were extremely friendly and hospitable . Extremely informative and accommodating.
I would definitely recommend the hotel to family and friends.
