I liked the warm and friendly reception. This is a family run hotel and I quickly felt that my prescience and needs were valued as if a member. The breakfast and meals were well prepared and served with personal care. It is well located in a quiet square near the centre.
Centrally located in Igoumenitsa, right on the coastal road, El Greco offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi and unobstructed views over the Ionian Sea.
Surrounded by lush greenery, Camping Drepanos is located at the sandy beach of Drepano. Featuring a restaurant and a snack bar, the property has accommodation in tents.

I recommend a visit to the Archeological museum of Igoumenitsa. This museum is excellent with friendly and knowledgeable staff and an amazing collection including exhibits from a recent exploration near to Igoumenitsa. Igoumenitsa castle is worth a visit. It is close to the town centre and an excellent viewpoint for the port area as well as being well preserved with informative signage. Walk along the promenade from the ferry port towards the beach. Rent a bicycle and cycle to the beach. Order souvlaki and a beer from the street cafes along the promenade.

The city is a typical Greek city dependent on sea trade and transport. It also has nice beaches but the harbour as hub for the surrounding islands of Corfu and other islands like Paxos in the Ionian Sea, and therefore there is a lot of sea traffic on the water as well in the city as the main motorway leads from Igoumentisa to Thessaloniki.

I liked the fact that everything is within walking distance.
I liked the fact that everything is within walking distance.
Caught a fairy to Corfu and spent the day there also.
If we had a car it would have been so much better but was too scared to drive on the wrong side of the road being from Australia lol.
The thing that was a disappointment was the fact that there are step’s everywhere and if you are disabled there is no chance to get in and out of shops etc…
Foot paths were uneven and too many stray cats and dogs.

We used the Hotel as a stopover during our holiday, we were using the port as a point of transfer over to the island of Corfu. The hotel and location cannot be faulted. We found a small taverna within 50 meters of the hotel where we ate for the evening.

I always pass rapidly through Igoumenitsa.
I always pass rapidly through Igoumenitsa. This time there was a port strike and I was forced to stay two extra days and nights, and I discovered it is a very nice town. Probably I will always spend the night there again when I pass through. I can recommend the restaurants Ambrosia and Navtaki (near the fantastic Holiday Zigos hotel) and -- in town -- the small fish restaurant Palio Limani. I would also recommend the Archaeological Museum, which is full of interesting objects and very well presented and organized.
Hotel Oscar welcomed us with water and promptly opened their doors to let in our tandem bicycle which was stored in their spacious back room. That was the easiest time we have had storing our bike. It was great to have a refrigerator in the room and a grocery store around the corner. Both father and son made us welcome and were very helpful, we even learned some Greek words. I felt so comfortable with our stay that I just had to give the father a hug goodbye.
Thanks to Nick and his family we had a memorable stay in Igoumenitsa. The property is easily accessible, clean, airy, and a perfect place to rest well. The mosquito nets allow you to keep the doors on 2 balconies open overnight. There is a well-equipped kitchen for those that like to prepare meals themselves. Two supermarkets in near proximity are quite handy.
Arrived at 2 a.m.because of ferry delays and were met with a tired smile. We appreciated the very clean room
and 100% cotton sheets. Breakfast was well worth the price and restorative. Unfortunately, we had to leave
too early the next morning to appreciate fully the hotel.
The staff were super friendly and helpful, the breakfasts delicious and the rooms have amazing views over the sea, for the sunsets. plus it's close to the ferries and into the main town. A truly great hotel to stay at and very affordable.
Great instructions, great welcome, great base for taking the ferry early in the morning. Bed, toilet and a mini kitchen. When we will come again to Igoumenitsa for sure we will use it as a stop over just not to sleep in the car.
I liked location and staff, rooms very clean. It is not the best hotel you can find but for what you need in two or three days of staying at Igoumenitsa it is ok. Price ok also. The receptionist were very nice and friendly.
Fantastic place, close to the port, impeccably clean, extremely convenient and welcoming. The owner picked me up late at night and was extremely gracious about it. I recommend this hotel very warmly to all travelers.
Newly refurbished room. Absolutely beautiful and sparkling clean. The host was so accommodating. We artist midnight but they were there to meet us in no time. It felt like a luxury hotel. Perfect location.
Place was clean and comfortable, staff was friendly. Keep in mind that it’s a older hotel, furniture is classic but not degraded, but the mattress, cleanliness and comfort were great. A rare find in Greece
Super breakfast ! Regarding the location, this is a very practical one for the travelers who want to take ferryboats at Igoumenitsa. I strongly recommend to overnight there before the ferryboat journey
Nice location for an overnight staying in Igoumenitsa. Owner gentle and friendly, gave us a little bottle of olive oil as a gadget. Room ok, with fridge and food/beverages for breakfast.
Extra clean and beautiful rooms, have a closed car parking, so if you are traveling with motorcycle it is the hotel to stay safely with you bike.
very friendly owners.
