What a lovely hotel in a beautiful area. Upon booking, the hotel looked a lovely place to stay but was even nicer than we expected. Excellent value for the price.
Staff were so friendly and welcoming, the rooms were lovely and comfy (we had a double, our friends paid a little extra for the king). There are lots of original features of the building that compliment its character and I loved hearing the church bells ringing in the morning.
We didn't eat here but ate at the Indian restaurant in the evening that's joined to the building which everyone really enjoyed - apparently they are moving around the corner soon.
Location was great with lovely scenery and a few pubs within walking distance with good beer gardens which we enjoyed in the sunshine, a craft beer place opposite the hotel and a place around the corner that often has live music. What more could you want!
One of our party also enjoyed a visit to Roger Wilkins cider farm on the way - apparently a must for cider drinkers and cheese lovers!
We were hoping to book another overnight stay in the next few months but I was sad to see they are fully booked on weekends for a while which says a lot.
Situated in England's smallest cathedral city, The Swan provides excellent accommodation and hotel facilities. The Swan makes an ideal base for exploring Somerset.

Staff were delightful, friendly and efficient. Our room was well placed, comfortably furnished and wonderfully peaceful. Breakfast offered a good range of options both cooked and continental. The terrace facing the Cathedral is lovely for afternoon tea or drinks.

Lovely decor. Lively friendly vibe. Comfortable bed with good quality linen. Very clean. Excellent shower with up market toiletries. Nice staff. Great wine bar with food available downstairs. Well sound proofed room. Tea and coffee making facilities. Good advice as to where to head for breakfast. Nice location just on the edge of the central part of the city. Reasonably cheap over night car park within easy walking distance.

The room we had was quirky and comfortable. (The witches hat) The staff were polite and friendly. Wookey hole cave and amusements were great. My partner had a carrier bag of old pennies, so we had a lot of fun on the penny machines. Plus, we had a lot of fun on the crazy golf.. to top it all, the weather was brilliant.

We had a great 2 night stay at this b&b.
We had a great 2 night stay at this b&b. The barn was a great family room with comfy beds, powerful shower and lovely complimentary toiletries. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices and the hosts were both really lovely - very welcoming and informative about the local area too. Rachel’s cakes, biscuits and freshly baked bread were all delicious too. We would all love to stay here again. Thank you

Robert and Rachael were fantastic hosts. We were greeted with coffee and homemade cake. Lovely setting , great breakfasts, altogether a fantastic B &B, better than most hotels we have stayed in. Cannot recommend any more highly, brilliant.
For years I have avoided B&B's in preference for hotels. However this experience has changed my views. Everything about this visit was simply a delight. And the home made cookies were a bonus 😋. And the hosts were fabulous
