The location is stunning. Breakfast is really great. The staff are amazing and very helpfull and the Inn has a lot of character. What was nice were the old pictures and documents hung up in the hallway. Staff was really friendly to our dog Bobbi
And also don't forget to eat there.

We arrived, travel-weary, to a warm welcome. We were shown to our room, a huge, light bright room and went down to a delicious home cooked meal. We had a really good night, in a large extremely comfortable bed, and next morning had an excellent breakfast, again home cooked and perfect. The hosts, Jonathan and Ronnie, were thoughtful and friendly - all in all we had a great time and wished we were staying longer than one night. We felt extremely lucky to have found the Forester, quite by chance as we were looking for somewhere in Shaftesbury but were tempted by the reviews to look further.

A rather special village nestled in verdant downland, though very much an estate-owned vicinity geared to country sports. Beautiful countryside for walking or running, albeit that one of the nearby paths through a bullock field has to be negotiated with prudence. The church is of considerable interest and picturesqueness.
