Jo was an incredible host, the house was in a perfect location far away enough that it was quiet but close enough to town that it was an easy drive in. The room was lovely, really impressed by the cleanliness and the bed was like a cloud! We slept so well. The bathroom was clean and well stocked, the shower was easy to use and very clean. The house was very light, the garden was beautiful.
Jo was attentive, even remembering how we liked our tea/coffee and bringing us one in the morning. Haven’t felt so looked after in a long time. We had such a fabulous time, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Already thinking to book for next year! Can’t recommend this place enough. Thanks for having us!

Staff so friendly and pub us so historic and beautifully placed. The room was very nicely furnished and even had a large bath and luxurious toiletries. Breakfast was great and parking (arrive early) was at the back of the pub.
Super dog-friendly and hearty breakfast. Hebden Bridge is delightful.

I was at Walsden, the next village, part of Todmorden. If the weather had not been so bad I would have done some walking. The countryside is stunning. I stayed at Enchanting Haven which is stone's throw from Walsden Station.

Todmorden is a very pleasant, interesting, well located...
Todmorden is a very pleasant, interesting, well located former mill town with a good variety of shops, pubs and eateries (we especially recommend “Eat”) great market (indoor and outdoor) and nice canalside. Don’t miss the Town hall which is an outstanding building with a superbly renovated main hall. The town is also very well located for accessing the surrounding countryside and neighbouring towns of Hebden Bridge and Halifax.

Todmorden is a lovely chilled town with loads of interesting walks to do, everything from canals to hills. I recommend visitingTodmorden beach as a place to visit. There are lots of cafes and pubs to visit, check out the Golden Lion and their amazing thai food. Small market town, nice to see quite a few pubs, though weatherspoons is there. A good few cafes. Good walking in surrounding areas. Market on Wed and Thursday even though town top heavy with supermarkets. Nice local shops, bakery, butcher, greengrocer, plus some quirky shops. Canal walk with boats, and tourist information right in town centre plus small bus station

Lovely town in a beautiful setting.
Lovely town in a beautiful setting. You feel that you can reach out and touch the surrounding woods and moorland. A real gothic feel about buildings and architecture. Canal and streams weave through the town. Some quirky shops, bars/cafes, an alternative feel to the place, reminded me of parts of Bristol that I knew in the 80s.

On arrival The Manager Darren, was so polite, friendly, very helpful and explained everything we needed to know with our stay and breakfast area for the next morning. The Hotel is situation literally over the road from the train station. Would I stay here again?? Absolutely... I recommend this Hotel as one of the best I have stayed in .in Todmorden. Our purpose was to visit family, and take advantage of all the walks, coffee shops and restaurants available between Todmorden and Hebden Bridge. The cottage itself could not be more comfortable and welcoming. Everything was spotlessly clean and very new, the beds comfortable, shower hot and powerful. The view across the valley to Stoodley Pike was quite amazing.
