Breakfast was fine. Although I only had cereal & toast as it was an either or with the hot breakfast and not both which is very limiting and not great value.

An interesting planned resort which is very different from anywhere else on the Cumberland coast. Historically interesting. The town is separated from the sea by a wide Green. Great sunsets over the Solway Firth facing Scotland.

Silloth is beautiful in my opinion it has everything you need. It is ideally situated as it has the best of both worlds, the sea and the countryside are both on the doorstep. We love this place so much we are planning to move here in the very near future 🤞

Silloth is a lovely small coastal village. It is easy to travel the lakes from there. There are places to eat. We ate at the Golf hotel during our stay and it was an excellent meal. The cottage we booked was excellent, very quiet, comfortable and well equipped

We asked for a bath and got one but other than that the room was grotty with a miserable view of nothing. We knew some of the rooms had been decorated and thought because it was quiet, we'd be offered a good room, no!, we were shoved in the grotty one.

I could have stayed longer but we had limited time. Favorite places were the promenade on which we were able to take elderly relative, much to her enjoyment, also for my wife and me to walk on, and me to run along; the main street with square sets and colorful shop fronts; chatting with people fishing near the harbor. We sense that there is a great community spirit. Learnt that there is an excellent golf course, but the town is not all about recreation - there is biscuit factory, specialized concrete factory and fibre plant

It felt like stepping back in time.
It felt like stepping back in time.
Beautifully positioned on the coast and serviced by small independent businesses.
Recommend if you’re looking for a picturesque and quiet location on the edge of the Lake District
It was worth the stay just for Graeme's encyclopaedic knowledge of Silloth and it's history, as well as Solway railways. We had a most enjoyable & comfortable overnight stay with an excellent host, & great chef who provided a beautifully cooked breakfast and imaginative dinner menu which was very good value. Green View Guesthouse is also in a perfect location - central, in a historic building and even very close to the bus stop!
Stayed here previously under other management, as changed slightly, breakfast served downstairs, was pre-ordered via a little door hanger which you leave out at night, Silloth is a quiet place and not much happening at night, i got there quite late so food was limited, ended up going to Mario's and getting pizza which i eaten in car. Hosts are pleasant.
The location is ideal for us, a short walk into Silloth, which is a place we like. Also places like, Keswick, Cockermouth, Workington are easy to get to from the site. The apartment had a nice new shower, and central heating, which was available to use day and night.
Hotel is in a lovely location, being just across the green from a lovely pagoda and view of the sea. Staff are very friendly, and happy to provide directions to public transport - and even a USB charger after I'd lost mine! Breakfast options were good.
Really nice guest house, the owner was really friendly and the food was nice. Stayed there because I was playing golf at Silloth GC which was within walking distance. Would definitely stay there again if playing golf up that way in the future 👍🏻
The Golf Hotel is conveniently situated in the heart of Silloth, providing comfortable accommodation with bar, dining and friendly staff. The town is a lovely spot, off the beaten track, with a very pleasant coastal location.
View from window of golf links appreciated. Rather heavy traffic during day. Very close to helpful pub. Parking at first awkward, then easier. Walking distance to Silloth. Well equipped kitchen
The location was ideal for us as we were visiting a relative in the Silloth Care Home.
The kitchen was new and very well designed for a small galley kitchen.
