Room was ok although we booked a double and they gave us a disabled facility room - which was on the fourth floor as far away from a lift as possible! The fourth floor also smelt strongly of cigarette smoke. Changed us to a double room on a different floor but wouldn't move our daughter as they couldn't change from a twin room, which is strange since they changed us from a double to a disabled double, without us requesting, and back to a double. Staff were lovely but the breakfast was not very nice at all. Didn't bother with it the second morning. The hotel did the job but not an excellent stay.AAnonymous - 8.0Scored 8.0

Ask for a room at back of hotel, due to 24 hour McDonald's people stand around outside talking all night and can hear in rooms. Room, beds, facilities and staff all good just shame about lack of sleep due to people!

The hotel is reasonable, not expensive and has clean rooms with clean bedding and is accessible to the brewery. They do not serve food although the service station is next door you can purchase food from, the hotel sells coupons and has a choice of food. Everything was fine except an extra cost than the online quote when we booked in for my dogs, not previously disclosed, and an excessive amount of dog poo along the front of the hotel right under the windows

The view from the upper floor was lovely!
The view from the upper floor was lovely! Although the hotel is near an industrial facility it was not a problem at all! The hotel is ideally suited to visit Chepstow and the lower reaches of the Wye valley. Also the lower reaches of the Severn. There are some delightful areas nearby (30’). Chepstow and Symonds Yat. We chose the hotel because it was cheaper than those in the towns which were exorbitant due to the ending of Covid hotel restrictions. We are so glad we did as the facilities were excellent! A car is a requirement!

We needed a convenient stop over as we were going to a university open day, which started early the following day, so the location of the hotel was great for us, literally just off M4. The lady on reception was very professional, the rooms were really clean, beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless with a lovely shower and proper size bath sheet towels. All in all, great value for money and just what we needed for a late last-minute booking. Would definitely recommend here.
