New Lanark Mill Hotel, hotel in Lanark

The New Lanark Mill Hotel is part of UNESCO World Heritage Site. The hotel has spacious en suite rooms, a restaurant, bar and swimming pool.

Absolutely beautiful building nestled in the middle of the breathtaking surrounding. We quickly checked in at 5 pm. and went for a walk around not to waste a daylight. Beautiful track along the river, up to the waterfalls - easy to find, well signed. Designed to be easily accessible almost for everyone - even a wheelchair users can enjoy the majority of it. Entertaining for children as well. A few steps away from the hotel is a well designed playground for children. Very big rooms, spotlessly clean, well equipped. We were very lucky that our room was facing the river, so we slept with windows open just to listen to the sounds of nature. I can't remember when I slept so well. Delicious breakfast - full Scottish was a "must," plus some continental selection.

Punch Tree Cabins Couples Outdoor Bath, hotel in Lanark

Situated 28 km from Celtic Park, Punch Tree Cabins Couples Outdoor Bath offers accommodation in Carluke with access to a hot tub.

We stayed in Copper Beach Cottage, it was in the perfect location to unwind and relax. Our host Joanne was very welcoming and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the bed was really comfortable and we braved the bath outside, which was lovely and warm on a cold February night with the added bonus of listening to an owls call. Everything you could need is supplied for the benefit of enjoying your stay. It was worth a visit and we hope to stay again.

Great walks near the hotel on the nature trail - stunning views of the waterfalls! The town itself is beautiful with lots of history, and our room had a great view of the water. Loved the room, it was huge and really comfy. Will definitely be coming back.

A lovely historical town with lots of individual shops. Be sure to visit The New Lanark Model Village, which is a World Heritage Site from the 18th century. It is a Mill Village sitting alongside the picturesque River Clyde, and see the Falls while you are there.

We toured New Lanark and the Clyde River Falls. The forest there is magical and definitely worth the visit. Though a small town, Lanark has traffic congestion problems. It seems that to go anywhere all traffic has to use the main highway through town.

Overall we loved our time at the waterfall cottages New Lanark which were quite beautiful and unique. A shuttle bus into Lanark would be a huge improvement for the business and be a good reason to choose the hotel/cottages over Lanark itself. The Badger Walk was really lovely and more could be done to enhance this side of things with walks downstream too, which seemed to stop after the car-park. Or better map/description. The Pool/Gym/Spa/Sauna etc. being within the cost of our stay was excellent value. A discount (50 percent) for guests for the Mill tour would be warranted. We didn't bother with it, even though it looked good, as it was so expensive on top of the accommodation cost.

It is an understated part of Scotland. We were only there to pick up a puppy but it is a gorgeous area. It is a good area for visiting other parts of the country. It feels abit forgotten and I think abit more investment would make it a brilliant place for people to go to .

The area is in a really lovely part of the world and fairly easily accessible by train but would highly recommend by car. I would recommend the Station House Hotel very highly it is a beautiful hotel in really beautiful countryside. If you have children there are plenty of things to do and there are some wonderful walks. I really do not think that you will find a nicer place to stay and it is excellent value for money.

The riverside location great for watching wild life - seeing a pair of otters frollicing in the river an absolute bonus. Saturday night a wedding reception at the hotel - but the waterhouses totally free from the noise of the band! Used restaurant once - food and service good, but limited choice for vegetarians. New Lanark provides easy road access to both Edinburgh and Glasgow - it would help potential guests to know about the free parking at the park&ride at Ingliston, and the inexpensive and frequent tram to central Edinburgh.

The view was gorgeous from our room and so relaxing hearing the water. Everything was clean and well looked after, plenty of kitchen utensils and everything you need for cooking for a few days which was so helpful. Bed was comfy, shower was lovely, no complaints on the amenities. Getting to use the hotel pool was such a nice treat- sad the sauna was out of order but the steam room and the bubble pool more than made up for it. Walking around New Lanark itself was beautiful and well worth a visit.

My key at room info were on the desk at reception along with a breakfast proforma. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Comfortable room and bed with tea and coffee. Breakfast was freshly cooked and most satisfying. I've stayed at the Equi several times and will do so again if I am in the area of New Lanark. The Equi is based on a riding school - I did not avail myself of there services - but it would be ideal for those who are looking for a riding holiday

Our room exceeded expectations. Everything was to a high standard with much thought and care reflected in the choice of furnishing and fixtures. We were made to feel most welcome. As the property is a little way out of Lanark we had taken food for the evening. The owner invited us to use the breakfast room, providing cutlery, crockery and glasses, and also lit the stove in the lounge for us even though we were the only guests there that evening.

The Annexe Cottage is a spacious home with a separate lounge room, separate kitchen meals area and large bedrooms. On site parking was provided, there was also a washing machine and clothesline.. It was located about 10 minutes from New Lanark and Lanark township so it was easy to get groceries and provisions. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Parking on site was also great.

Very friendly host prepared an excellent breakfast, with a huge choice of items. He also recommended a good place for our evening meal. Location is outside Lanark in a very peaceful bit of the countryside. It wouldn't be very convenient for anyone without their own transport, but that shouldn't be an issue for most people.

The apartment was stylish and spotless. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked. It was in an amazing place so in the centre of Lanark 10m from the train station and so close to shops. The Hostess incredibly sweet getting in touch before we got there offering advice on the local area and advising on booking a restaurant.

We experienced a warm welcome, excellent facilities and a great breakfast. Lovely to chat to the owners about the history of the place and what to see in the area. We will definitely stay again.
