Fourth time staying here, staff have always very friendly and helpful. Due to unforseen circumstances we arrived earlier than our check-in time, but our room was ready so we were checked in and given our room key. Something so easy help us a lot, I can't thank the receptionist enough. Looking forward to our next visit.

Breakfast - There was ample choice available, enough to suit everyone
Dinner - Was two different night menus with good food and wine list, ample choice for all.
The view to the south over the Lake and towards Keswick was superb, I wish we had longer and a drier day to sit outside and enjoy it.

The location was perfect for hiking in and around the area. The staff, the room, the evening meal and breakfast were all exceptional!
Amazing value for money.
The building itself with the backdrop of the mountains was truly breathtaking.
Highly recommended.
Will definitely be going back.
Embleton has such helpful friendly staff. The accommodation was comfortable and spacious. Only 10 minutes from Keswick and Cockermouth. We went to Rookin Activity Centre for horse riding and quad bikes which was only 20 minutes away. We were celebrating my daughters hen do and had two apartments next to each other for 9 people. We had a fantastic time.

We had a wonderful warm welcome at the Embleton Hotel, the staff couldn’t do enough for us and totally embraced our little furpanion who was allowed everywhere with us. The bedroom was small, but perfectly adequate and the en-suite shower was lovely and powerful. Unfortunately the bed was extremely uncomfortable and could have done with a softer mattress, but that’s just our preference. Good view and television and WiFi signal fine, no other issues upstairs.
The restaurant food was very slow to come out, despite prior notice. Best to give yourself lots of time to spare when dining there in the evening, the service is very attentive though and it was wonderful to have complimentary hot drink and cake on arrival. The hot food was a little disappointing, steak very under cooked and homemade mac and cheese chewy and tasteless. We were still charged and it was pricey, but the service made up for it and desserts delicious. Great car park and outdoor seating area, didn’t use the Spa. Overall would definitely stay again overnight in a more comfortable bed and have nice breakfast. 100% Dog Friendly - amazing staff! Thank you.

A very friendly, warm hotel with great food in a picturesque setting. It has great facilities like a pool and gym. I only stayed one night on my own as I was travelling for business but staff were very accommodating, I decided to eat in my room as I was on my own, this was no trouble for them at all. The restaurant/bar area is very comfortable with awesome views. Overall, thoroughly recommend.

Excellent from start to finish.
Excellent from start to finish. Friendly staff and an excellent place for taking our dog in holiday with us. We were all made to feel very much at home, especially during the current pandemuc circumstances. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious! Apartment was cosy, clean and comfortable with a lovely view. Location great for exploring main towns and walks with the dog. Will definitely return in the future. Thank you.
We had a really good three day stay during which we had bed, breakfast an evening meal. The apartment was excellent and met our needs fully. The meals were, without exception, really good, in spite of their being a certain amount of limitation because of our dislike of cheese. We are the oddballs in that respect and realise that hotels cater for the majority. Having said that, they did their utmost to accommodate our tastes by giving substitutes whenever possible. Forgot to take my swimming gear but the pool looked good!
The breakfast was excellent as was the dinner. The staff were just lovely from start to finish. We had a 3 bedroom apartment within the hotel. It was spacious and quirky. For the 6 of us there was plenty of room and the view from our windows was amazing. Great location for some lovely walks. The check in and check out process was very smooth and the complimentary tea and cakes on arrival was an extra special touch that was really appreciated.
A quaint place to stay with quirky features. Very spacious for 5 adults and a large dog. In a beautiful location which was very quiet and peaceful with fantastic views. Surrounded by wildlife. Easy to get to other areas by car a short drive to Bassenthwaite lake, Cockermouth and Keswick.
Staff were gorgeous, mattress was comfy, bathroom was hugeeee and I LOVED the corner bath, food was lovely, plenty of parking, convenient location just off the A66 but not in the slightest bit noisy, really loved seeing the other guests dogs in the restaurant/bar area!
Lovely room and breakfast, we also stayed for evening meal which was very nice and meant we didn't have to brave the weather. Despite being torrential rain the views are lovely and we travelled by bus which is near to the hotel. My husband enjoyed the gym facilities
The minute we walked in it felt homely. The staff were so helpful and friendly they really take care of you. The food was first class we ate in every night. The room was clean and tidy and lovely and warm. The hotel is ideally situated for exploring the area.
Nice atmosphere and host. Good facilities available. Parking is available. Staff always helpful and friendly.
I forgot some items in the room. And hotel management were nice enough to ship the items to Manchester the same day.
We loved staying at this hotel. The food was amazing. The staff were all lovely. The location was beautiful. The swimming pool was an added bonus. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks.
A fantastic place to stay, staff were so friendly and accomodating. They done a lovely gesture, that goes a long way when we arrived. Will definitely be going back to this hotel in the future.
Really nice hotel with good views, friendly staff and a comfortable room. The swimming pool was a bonus! Food was very good, both evening meal and breakfast. Would definitely recommend.
This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful location. The staff were great. We enjoyed using the small pool, steam room and hot tub. We had a 2 bedroom apartment which was warm and spacious.
Great location. Beautiful scenery around. Quiet, roomy, and comfortable. Very helpful staff who helped us accommodate our breakfast needs. Great restaurant.
