Great location in Ambleside with secure off road parking. Room was good and bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly. Good breakfast. As this was a last minute, one-night booking, we weren’t able to take advantage of the spa facilities, which was a shame.

The room was really well presented with nice touches, the grounds are absolutely stunning and a lovely morning sat in the garden outside my room with a coffee. The staff were all super friendly, helpful and even when the bar was full of thirsty walkers their smiles and attentiveness didn’t waiver. The food was delicious and very generous portion sizes, the eyes were definitely bigger than our bellies. Would without doubt book to stay here again.
