La Chaussee-Saint-Victor is a great location about 3 kilometres from Blois. It has easy access to motorways and routes to visit the surrounding local areas. There are a couple of petrol stations, a supermarket and a boulanger ie where you can get a sandwich when other restaurants are closed on a Sunday and possibly Monday. We stayed at Le Relais de La Tour, a fabulous family run guest house which I could highly recommend.

The lady of the house was very friendly. The breakfast was good but not extensive. The home made marmelades were excellent. The garden was nice and offered plenty of parking space.
