parking was great. The breakfast and restaurant were good. It was a nice surprise that the hotel is part of a shopping mall, so I got some shopping done at the Carrefour.

The size of the room was great and the location was perfect for our trip. We were going to visit the WWI graveyard the next day and wanted to stay overnight in the port near the center. We had an elderly family member with us so walking was an issue hence the close location choice. The room was really big and had a fully fitted kitchen plus on-site parking. Perfect for our needs.

Everything was super, the location is no more than 10 minutes on foot to the centre and to the beach as well. Fantastic beach. We enjoyed swimming and wandering along the port. The owner of the property welcomed us from the moment of arriving and she was ready to offer all kinds of help and information about the city. She responded to my messages in five minutes.

With only 24 hours, we only saw the old town, which is unspoilt (the most important feature for us of any destination). There were excellent traditional family run restaurants offering good traditional French food at reasonable prices. Great place if you are interested in fishing, sea, seafood. The historical city is worth a short visit. A lot of choice in restaurants and fish shops. Nice beach and waterfront sites. A part of the marina neigbourhoud is under reconstruction, the result will be very nice.

Boulogne-sur-Mer is a small but pleasant town to visit if you want to escape from the busy city life. We visited Nausicaa, the largest aquarium in Europe! It was worth the drive from Holland! That was the main reason for out trip.

There was a free bus (doesn't run on Sundays) which stopped outside and went and and down the hill to the harbour and shops. It was good to have an outdoor terrace to have a drink and eat breakfast as the weather was warm during our stay.. The staff were very friendly and helpful and our rooms were better than expected - functional but clean and fine for a few nights stay. I would return here if staying in Boulogne again.
