We had a very friendly welcome from the receptionist. Our room was clean and comfortable, with tea and coffee making facilities, very welcome after a long train journey. The breakfast buffet was very good, and we were able to start before the official opening time as we had to leave for our ferry to Helsinki.

The original capital of Finland, Turku is the country’s oldest city that features a bustling harbour, an array of museums and restaurants, and is renowned for being the cradle of Finnish culture.
During the summer Turku’s waterfronts come alive with boat bars and cafés, along with popular festivals such as Ruisrock Festival and Turku Music Festival, which are held in July and August respectively.
The city offers a number of entertainment options and landmarks such as the Wäinö Aaltonen Museum of Art, Turku Cathedral and the medieval Turku Castle, which overlooks the harbour.
Tallink Silja Terminal and Viking Line Terminal offer regular ferry services to destinations such as Stockholm, Åland Islands and Moomin World Theme Park, located on the island of Kailo.

Turku is a very nice smaller city in FInland. There are lots of intereting places to visit in the surrounding area, the river aura, the cathedral, the museum, the harbour, Ruisallo island, the botanical gardens. Also plenty of good places to eat.

We didn't get to see much of Turku, unfortunately. We stayed there as it was convenient for Naantali. However, there were a number of museums and galleries etc that I would have liked to have seen.

It is a good experience from spring until autumn.
It is a good experience from spring until autumn. In between everything is gloomer with less opportunities. At any time of year, you should not expect that most people will meet your eyes nor smile. Nature is nice and during the summer there are possibilities visiting archipelago. If you are in the downtown, don't forget to visit over 100 year old Turku market hall, where you can have a great lunch and feel the local vibe. There are also plenty of unique nature walks around the sea or forests close b

Ate a couple of times at Timbuktu. Very nice African restaurant.
Public transport is cheap, on-time and convenient. It is 3 euros for two hours on any bus line.
The city doesn't sleep in summer time. Firsthand experience!

Just a lovely city with plenty of attractions to visit,...
Just a lovely city with plenty of attractions to visit, naval history, medieval castle, lovely parks, plenty of choice regarding eating out (recommend Panimoravintola Koulu; Lone Star (burgers, fries)), easy to get around by walking, bike and/or scooter. Great base for exploring the islands of the Turku Archipelago. Must see attractions include Luostarimaki open air history quarter, walking or running along the Aura river, Turku medieval castle at Linnanpuisto park, Ispoinen beach and Sauna; various historical sailing ships along the Aura.

I went to Turku for Knotfest, so I didn't have enough time to see all the views. But, since I've been to Turku many times, I can tell you that it is an excellent place to visit with many sights to see, and not overly touristy. I recommend seeing Turun Linna (Turku castle), the River Aura, the old wooden neighborhoods, and the Turku cathedral.
If you are traveling on a budget, the public transport system works well, unless you use it after midnight when music festivals have just finished, such as Knotfest. In that case, be prepared to get ditched by bus drivers. For cheap food, you can download the ResQ app to buy cheap lunches from restaurants and help reduce food waste in the process. Here's the link, if you would like to check it out: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=club.resq.android&hl=en
The apartment is located very close to the city center, but in a very nice and quiet area. The old houses of Lonttinen are very charming. The neighborhood is very dog friendly and there is even a dog park close by. You can easily walk everywhere.
The apartment is spacious and light and has everything you need for a comfortable stay in Turku. I immediately felt like at home when I entered and my dog was very comfortable too. It is very welcoming and homely. Definitely highly recommend!
We stayed at the Marina Palace because my son had to undergo surgery in Turku. The staff couldn't have been kinder and more understanding, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The room, besides being aesthetically pleasing, boasted every conceivable comfort. The hotel is in a lovely area and is also very central. I really look forward to returning to this hotel someday. Heartfelt thanks to all the staff, for a memorable experience. ❤️
The hotel exceeded my expectations, the room was comfortable, big, clean and modern.
The breakfast was amazing, there were a lot of different things to choose and everything was top quality.
Also the restaurant was good, the ambience was nice and the meals were a little bit small but overall good.
The staff was very available and kind. We'll surely come back to this Hotel for our next business trip to Turku!
I spent 4 nights in this room. I mostly appreciated the minimal design and the smart check-in/out procedures. The room is quite large, clean, and has most everything you need. A high-performing WI-FI and the location are other pluses. This hotel is located in the heart of Turku, thus making quite easy to reach the main attractions this city offers. Overall, I would recommend it for short stays.
The breakfast was generous, varied and delicious. Service was efficient. The location was ok -it was close to the University where my meetings took place and though it was a bit far from the city centre, it was a walkable distance; all in all the location was fine. In addition, as a black woman travelling alone, I felt safe and at home in the Original Sokos Hotel Kupittaa.
Good location, less than 1km to the train station and it’s near Turku Cathedral and University of Turku;
Nice staff, when I sent message to the hotel, I can always receive the response in time, the receptionist also assisted me to early check-in if there’s availability;
Breakfast is really good, different kinds of foods and drinks.
The location of the hotel is very good and close to a lot of restaurants in the center of the town. The hotel itself is very fashionable but also cozy.
The super breakfast with very rich choice.
We liked the parking station connection with the hotel, it was really very comfortable.
Defiantly, we will come back.
Lovely stay in Port Arthur, short stretch from Kakola hill and Turku Castle. Lovely garden and friendly neighbours. Apartment silent and confortable, well furnished and nice bed. Different coffee making options. Cooking facilities in place. Clean and cozy, good linen. Handy with bicycles.
The location in the city centre was good, it was easy to get to places.
The room was very clean.
The hotel had a small parking lot of its own which we could use. However, there was an extra charge for the parking lot and another extra charge to use electricity to heat the engine.
Fact the hostel was in a solidly Finnish created structure built when Finland was known for its skill in ship building and management of transatlantic shipping lines. That it was part of a larger historical collection of ships linked to Finland added to it significance.
The location of the hotel was great. Easy access to everything in the city centrum, and a decent place to stay for a couple of nights. Shower worked fine, as did the television.
The host is very friendly and helpful. She definitely cared about me.
She explained very well everything I needed to know and made it possible to get in contact to locals.
Loved the atmosphere of this family owned hotel, with stories behind the extensive collections of memorabilia. Beautifully maintained, well located, parking provided.
The breakfast buffet was excellent. The hotel is attached to a shopping center for easy shopping and is within walking distance of restaurants and the city center.
Rooms are very quiet , there is very good option to park in hotel garden which is very convenient. Breakfast was good, maybe some pancakes or sweets to add.
