The hotel is a converted castle and is truly stunning. The staff were friendly and helpful, they provided us with two rooms connected to each other which was great as we were travelling with three kids. The swimming pool was a great size and deep and had a lovely aspect looking onto the castle walls. The hotel is in a great location, being only a few minutes walk from the Plaza Mayor.

This lovely little hotel is very eco conscious. Very close to everything in Zara, comfortable, well thought out rooms. Great breakfast. Above all extremely friendly couple who own and run the hotel could not have been more kind and generous with their time when we arrived in need of medical assistance. Highly recommend Casa Luna, will stay again.

It’s an interesting old building on a beautiful square in Zafra. Our room and bathroom were comfortable and the WiFi was good. Breakfast was good and the staff were very pleasant. On our last morning there was a local power cut and they arranged for us to have breakfast at a nearby cafe which had power.

The average price per night for a 3-star hotel in Zafra this weekend is US$53 or, for a 4-star hotel, US$183. Looking for something even fancier? 5-star hotels in Zafra for this weekend cost on average around US$143 per night (based on Booking.com prices).
It is a beautiful location in a lovely town. Because it is an historic building there are some inconveniences but the ambiance and historic surroundings make it worth being a bit flexible. The staff were lovely. We really enjoyed our stay. Having just been in the Costa Del Sol where the experience is so impacted by over development it was refreshing to be in an authentic Spanish community.

Very friendly town with a huge range of small to medium-sized shops and services. The old town is charming and very pretty. Good bus links to Seville and Mérida. Plenty of county paths in any direction out of town.

Zafra is charming. It's hotels are not.
Zafra is charming. It's hotels are not. Someone in the City PR department needs to shake up the hoteliers. I pass through twice a year going south, then north. I try a different hotel each time, I have not found one to return to in five years. They are complacent, not interested in their customers. Sad. If someone knows of a small treasure I would love to hear of it.

As when we came to Zahra before, loved the two adjoining squares and the old town. There is also a very good parador in the impressive castle where we have stayed in the past, but just went into for a drink and a snack this time.

The town is very easy to get around, its compact and offers good shopping, restaurants and tapas bars.
The tapas restaurant, La Tarama, just off the Parador square is fabulous. The owner,Manuel is so proud of his area and very knowledgeable on the production of ham, the farming of the forests and of the local environment. His food is delicious too. Next door is a restaurant holding a Michelin red bib which is also good.
The info from Manuel makes for a wonderful day out in the surrounding countryside and villages. His recommendations for restaurants in the villages, museums and sights are great.

The main squares are really beautiful. Lovely architecture.
The main squares are really beautiful. Lovely architecture. There are some great restaurants with wonderful local food and reasonable prices. You can walk everywhere, but if you want to go alittle further there are some grat historic sites not too far away.
It's a lovely small hotel in a quiet beautiful neighborhood, short walk to the center of town and you will find crowds.
Hostess was so nice, she waited for us since we arrived outside of their regular reception hour.
Our room was spacious and well decorated.
Breakfast room was so pretty, even the utensils were packed in a lovely handmade pocket. Breakfast items were delicate and delicious.
A great location in a lovely town, so much to see and the Hotel is only a very short walk from the centre. The staff were extremely helpful and spoke very good English. Stylish, comfortable and decorated in an authentic style using natural materials. The breakfast was exceptional, despite being included in the booking price. By far the best I have had while travelling in Spain.
The hotel was clean and quaint, located in downtown Zafra. The location offered perfect views of the processions for Holy Week. Isidoro, was amazing and attentive and there for anything we might need, from directions to letting us know the processions started to fixing the morning coffee
The hotel is situated in an hystorical palace: living here you really feel the hystory of the town.
Nice organized palace tour with a well prepared guide, to discover the hystory of Zafra and the Palace.
Very kind personnel, extremely supportive and friendly
Everything worked--including the heat. Hot water was fast. It was clean and quiet. It is not luxurious, but for the price, it is hard to beat. There was free on-street parking in front of the hotel. It was easy to walk everywhere in town from the hotel.
friendly happy staff very helpful
THis is a basic hostal geared for walkers on the santigo de compostela route so cheap and cheerful dont expect 4 star hotel services at this price but if you wanr adequare low cost this will suit your book
The historic nature of the hotel. The period furniture.Bed was very large and comfortable.Large bathroom.Bikes were parked in garden but not under cover and they were coated in dust from sahara dust storm.Gears didn't change well after this.
The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel is very well placed by the square. Secure parking was available approx. 250 metres away although luggage could be unloaded directly outside the hotel which was very convenient.
The hosts Marga and Manuel were very hospitable. They helped us with our luggage and we had a wonderful breakfast that they prepared for us. If passing through Zafra we would definitely stay there again.
The hotel had alot of potential but they have stopped maintaining it for years. There is a big wedding hall and alot of outdoor space. Location is just 5mins from Zafra. Looks nice but...
A beautifully restored house with plenty of character very close to the centre of charming Zafra. Much attention to detail and comfort. Very helpful host and a delightful breakfast.
Lovely hotel all round. Artistic touches everywhere, super clean, very well equipped and a very full breakfast provided in a beautiful courtyard - about as good as you can get!
The square is quite beautiful at night. The entrance to the hotel was pretty. The man at the front desk was very nice. I liked it was pet friendly. The breakfast was good.
