Travelling from Santander to Cadiz, the location was perfect as the hotel was just off the highway. We did not venture out as we were tired, but the location was very quiet. Staff were very hospitable, rooms spotless. Continental breakfast was excellent. Beautifully decorated with Motorsport memorabilia everywhere. Our dog was well catered for, with a bag of treats.

We were travelling from the Algarve to Santander to catch the ferry to UK. This was a perfect place to stopover as it was about 2/3rds of the journey. We set off mid morning, arriving around 1900, in time to relax with a drink on the lovely terrace before dinner in the dungeons (excellent meal - best to book your table online with the castle directly). After a leisurely breakfast, it was an easy 3.5 hour drive to Santander to catch the afternoon ferry.LeniUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

With a gorgeous setting amidst vineyards, it's the perfect country escape. I only wish the hotel tries to arrange more activities like wine-tasting, horseback riding etc. The restaurant is excellent, prices are not too bad and food quality is amazing.
