Location is great. Food was great.
Daniel went above and beyond to help me find the owner of a beautiful dog who had followed me on the Camino del Norte. This took 2 hours which we did not expect as the dog was 20 km from home.

Granted, no stores nearby as it stands alone but after the hectic walk from Deba, this place is awesome. It is an older well maintained place with much character. My bed was so big! It was a warm night but they had fans. I really loved staying here and I recommend it. Breakfast was included and it was awesome! It has a captive market of pilgrims travelling the Camino del Norte as there is a shortage of accommodation which is not Refugio or albergue in the region. We have stayed before and enjoyed it. The owner is very welcoming and into locally sourced produce and sustainability. The food is also very good with mainly homemade cuisine.

When we finally arrived we were surprised by the warm greeting we received from Iger and the rest of the staff, including the wonderful bartender and woman originally from the U. S. (sorry, didn’t get their names). We were so impressed with the rehab of the the foundry and it’s history.
